madbomber is a substitute teacher!!!!!!!! can you believe they did not interview me, did not ask me ANYTHING!?!?!?! just said here, and this and that... gave me an i.d. badge and will call me for subbing... i am teaching 4th grade tomorrow.... high school prom queens, LOOK OUT!!!     | ||

Many of my friends do or have done this...most like it - and some have gone on to become teachers full time.....subs here on Long Island get $100-120 per day...is that comparable to what you're getting? Good luck bro. | ||

matt- until i work 30 days, i will make 15 dollars less then said amount... so 94 till 30 days, then its 109... not too bad all things considered... also gives time to pursue other stuff...

our gov Engler made it so almost anyone can teach as a sub. Not you I'm sure, but you should see the airheaded fuckers up here that get called to sub. Its a small town and we've known these morons from when they were a kid. Now they have 20 credit hrs and want to teach. Fuckin idiots I tell ya. Thats on top of the shit job most parent are doing with their kids | ||

I did it once. I thought it would be cool for part time work on my days off. First day was history for 7th grade. My first and last. Whatever you do, do not sub for middle school. It was hell!!!!!!!!! | ||

Teaching the older students isn't as bad as the junior high school kids.
