I went there when I was 14 and loved it. Me and my friend Sandra are going to plan a trip there for spring break for our senior year and we're going to talk to a travel agent sometime this week. We're going to get a big group rate and get as many of our freinds to go as we can. If you've been there where did you stay and how much did you like/dislike it and why? Any certain resorts you'd recommend for Spring Break? I stayed at Trelawny Beach. It was a lot of fun but not close to clubs or anything. We'd like to be by clubs and bars and what not. ------------------     | ||

Be carefull if you go there. They have a lot of crimes on tourists. They'll even snatch gold off your neck in the resort areas, so I'd try to avoid wearing expensive jewelry and flashing large amounts of cash. If you wind up in the wrong parts you can get offed just for the color of your skin. | ||

It has changed Government and all. It is repulsive down there now. Stay away!! The locals will try to sell you ganja and the second you touch it you are taken in and the seller if free. It is a well known setup sting down there now. They are going to run all their business away. They are on the decline now. | ||

If you got cash go to Tahiti or any of the Persian islands. It is pretty costly though. If you can not afford there one set down is RIO(party down). spring break you need to go to one of the low cost places like cancun where everybody gets drunk and naked. | ||

I didn't know it had gotten that bad down there! It was fine when I went, but that was a while ago. The place I was at was an hour and a half away from the airport and it was pretty quiet over there. ------------------ | ||

don;t believe the hype yea its a little rough but so is everywhere else. but checkmate is right Never take anything from anyone unless you want it , it is a good trick i have seen it done many times. Once you have it in your hands its over you have to pay them. I stayed in Ocho Rios and it is beautiful. I would love to go back but i feel mexico is more of a party place and it is waaay cheaper. Been a couple times, it IS scarey, especially once you get off the north coast. Lots of poverty...don't flash cash. The Airports are in the wrong place for tourists........Montego Bay is hokie and Kingston Town is all Still, I've been all over the Caribean, and Maybe you should rethink your Island destination...........maybe Barbados if your | ||

In Negril, one of the Hedonism clubs (clothing optional) the other Hedonism club is sort of near where you stayed last time. Negril used to be happening, but like anywhere like that it starts to attract the wrong people, after a while. Negril sometimes has the "green flash" at sundown. (sort of rare visual effect) | ||

I am going there in March for Spring break, some of the kids I go to school with said that it was the best week of their lives...they did say that you gotta stay with the three block bubble and not to stray from there tho | ||

lived there for 5 months while doing work for the jamaican government in Kingston. Went to the resorts a couple times on the weekends other than that, place is a shit hole that needs to fall in the water. ------------------ | ||

Wife and I went to Ocho Rios for honeymoon. Stayed at Sandals. The resort itself was awesome, but outside the gates of the resort was a shit hole. The poverty in that country is very sad. | ||
