If I was ging to live in any other time period it would be as a man because damn, there would be no Playtex or always or birth control! So, assuming Im a man, I would live in 19th century England...post Napoleanic era...guess the industrial age. Imagine living when the toilet was first invented, or gas lights on the streets! | ||

Well, the roarin' '20s would KICK ASS, but honestly, what could be better than living right now, especially in America...I do disagree with many programs, policies, and choices out government has made over the last few years (and back more only being 19...), but seriously, I'm going to live longer, have more opportunities, more luxuries, and more freedom (for the moment!) than anyone ever has (I'm speaking of 'I' the average American citizen)...now I know all these reverse-racist, Affirmative Action supporting, bed-wetting liberals are going to jump on this, so don't fall down to hard on it...you might break something! Yeah...you've got me thinking now...yeah...that would be my second choice for time travel...pre-prohibition would be cool too. I would like to have been part of alot of eras b/c I've always been intrigued by wars (plan on joining a branch of the armed forces someday) and organized crime... Midevil times- Braveheart battles were awesome. Mid/late 1700's- Would've liked to have been part of the Revolutionary War as part of a militia like in Patriot. 1920's- To be part of the Mafioso back then seems pretty cool. The suits they wore were cool as shit. My stepmom's grandfather was head of the Baltimore Mafia some time back and she said he was always well dressed and had nice cars. We seen a huge pic of him in an Italian restaurant w/ his Brugrad holding a machine gun. 1940's- WWII has interested me since I can remember. ------------------ | ||

Rex is it black with big fatty white walls?...my next car (if I have the money buy then) will be a 57 Chevy tinted black windows, very thick white walls ...or if I spend my money at strip bars again......then I'll go for a PT Cruiser black, tinted, fatty white walls.......or if I win the lottery....I'll go jut buy a Hummer....black, tinted, whitewalls....and find a way to be happy | ||

May sound corny to most, but I would like to have lived in the late forties, early fifties. You know, the Andy Griffith era My mother said that it was really like that in the small town that she grew up in. I know that life was not perfect back then, but it definately seem much simpler. There wasn't as much of the rat race, or it doesn't seem like there was. Granted, I am all for technology, and I would not give my computer up for anything because I have you guys to chat with and learn from, but sometimes I wished things would slow down a bit. | ||

the work week won't be shorter, but you will be able to buy more with a dollar. example, you can buy about 7 times more stuff with the buying power of one dollar than the same dollar could get you 100 years ago. in 200 years, you will be able to live the lifestyle that people who make 100,000 a year live by only working 14 hours a week at a menial/semi menial job. | ||

I had to present my criminal justice project on organized crime so I went in depth and did the Philly Mafia.
