ON THE WAY THE BELLBOY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO SPLIT $5 EVENLY >BETWEEN 3 MEN, SO HE GAVE EACH MAN A $1 AND KEPT THE OTHER $2 FOR HIMSELF. >THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID $9 FOR THE ROOM, WHICH IS A TOTAL OF >$27, ADD THE $2 THAT THE BELLBOY KEPT = $29. I remeber someone giving a great explanation for it once. Someone sent it to me here at work and I want to sound like a brainiac. Basically there is no money missing. Simply count backwards. $30.00 gave 3 to the guys kept 2 for himself. ------------------ | ||

The guys paid 10 each, not 9. That is 30 dollars. A total of 5 dollars is left to be given back. He gives each of the men a dollar. So thats 3 dollars. He keeps the other two. (I solved this the last time it was posted) | ||

this same exact ques was posted w while back..when u get to 27 u need to equal 25 not 30 so u subtract..peace ------------------ | ||
