sure fire sign of deadlifter are the shins... are they cut up??? if yes, then your a dead lifter

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Using the smooth bar helps limit that. Never had a nosebleed from dling.

Busting blood vessels on meet day is common for me, because I usually have high blood pressure, because of the juice and for max power on the dead I HOLD MY BREATH Until the bar is above my knees. Same thing on the squat you do not want to excel on the way up from you squat until about half way, because that helps you off the bottom having you insides tight.

Breathing correctly I recommend when training, but when going to a max on squat and dead you hold your breath through the majority of the lift.


My shins only get bloody at a meet. I do the drag on my shin,because it allows me to rock back just a tiny bit to continue the weight moving up, but you have to watch out, because at the top you may hitch it.

I have some nice scars on my shins. Everytime I do the damn lift I bleed. I kinda like it. I really need to get a life.
