I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. THERE WERE AT LEAST 100 IN THE WEIGHT AND CARDIO AREA. HOPEFULLY ALL THESE PEOPLE WILL REALIZE WHAT PATHETIC LOSERS THEY ARE AND LEAVE AFTER A WEEK.

I TALKED TO A REGULAR AND HE SAID ITS LIKE THAT EVERY JANUARY, NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THEM COMING, ITS NOT MY GYM BUT GOD WHERE IS THEIR COURTESY? SOMEONE NEEDS TO TEACH THEM ETTIQUITTE OR AT LEAST HOW NOT TO BE AN ASSHOLE.

I WAS DOING BARBELL BENCH FOR THE SECOND TIME EVER TONITE. ONLY USING 125 SINCE I'M ADAPTING TO IT, I CANT GET IN THE LAST REP...HAVE THE BAR ON MY CHEST AND THESE GUYS ARE JUST SITTING HERE, I'M TRYING TO GET THEIR ATTENTION SO THEN THEY RUN OVER TO HELP ME. THEY WERE LAUGHING THE WHOLE TIME (PROBABLY BECUASE I WAS USING RELATIVELY LIGHT WEIGHT) ANYWAY I AM JUST DEPRESSED, I HOPE THESE ASSHOLES LEAVE...ALL 50 OF THEM.

i had the same problem tonight..exactly the same, there were so many people waiting on a bench and this one guy was doin so many sets of 405 so i just said fuck it and did dumbells..only had to wait 10 minutes for that though. these fuckers were pissing me off too..3 assholes just kept stealing my shit and laughing and stuff. to bad my friend wasnt there or some major ass whoopin would of taken place in the gym. I was seriously just about to start swinging at those pricks cause they were getting to me.

I feel your pain. I was at the gym trying to get a workout in, but it was so busy, so I tried to help people as best I could. (I work there 3 days a week). SO, on my off day, on MY w/o time, I try to help this woman on the treadmill. She would not raise the incline nor walk faster that 2.5 mph because she did not want to "over do it".

Get off the equipment!!!!!

Yeah, I can tell a difference too. I work out at 6:00 in the morning where there is normally about 10 people as crazy as I am there. Both yesterday and today there must have been at least 75 people in that place before the goddamn sun even came up! I know it won't last. Thank God.

im pretty sure the school gym will be full of the assholes to,it was that way last year and the same thing as ur guys gyms they r gone in a week or so and while they are there they treat u like shit and dont help when u ask

Sounds like it is time for a-50, sus, and fina so you can get some High blood pressure squat 600 for reps and blow blood all over the mirror infront of you when you nose starts bleeding. That will scare them off.

I've been trying to hold my opinion, but..
This thread is seriously pissing me off.
So much elitist belly aching...

So you never walked into a gym the first time?
You were never an out of shape newbie?
You saw those "before" pics of bikinimom.
What if the first time she visited a gym she ran into the bad attitude types like you?
...had left the gym thinking "what a bunch of monsters...so unfriendly..I don't belong there"
And hadn't become the "after" pic we rave about today?
Everybody's got to start somewhere...
Either give em some help or shut up about it.
Their gym memberships are subsidizing yours.
You think your gym could survive on the paultry fees the dedicated muscleheads pay?
Like they said, it will die down soon enough.
I hope you might find a few newbies and give em encouragement, and maybe someday they'll come up to your lofty standards.

I agree with John937. I just think they need to learn etiquette.

TOM ZENK: Dude, you really must not have a high self esteem if you have to cut down a 16 year old. I stated that it was my second time on barbell bench press. You mentioned the guys benching 405. Can you bench 405? I don't care how big you are youre a dumbass to cut down someone younger than you who is giving it their best. Besides, when I am your age I'll probably be benching more than you.

I do think that the newbies are welcome, I just think they need to learn how to treat the older members and how to use equipment proparly. It just annoys me that they do this becuase you know they arent serious abuot it.

You are kidding yourself is any of this after holiday typical traffic is going to be in the gym 2 weeks from now. You think B-mom started on Jan 2 to start traing, I bet not. I bet she started when she deside she wanted to look better, not because it was a new year.,

I find people who wait until a certain time to quit anything are bound to fail simply because if they arent willing to put forth the effort when they get the idea, then they will never have the effort to continue.

On the other hand, the exact attitude you guys are expressing is why I work out at home....partially because of funds, partially because I refuse to look stupid in public., partially because at home, I have no excuse NOT to work out. Cant say the weathers too bad, or I dont have time.
The once or twice Ive been to the gym with my buddy wasnt a welcoming experience.

Keep us informed on when the crowds start dying down. I really want to know how much willpower and drive all those people have. To pay for a gym membership and just fall off after a week or two is so stupid. Those are the same people that will be back next Jan.

I know just what you mean, I am lucky at my gym. We have two seperate halls, one for cardio and one for `heavy weights`. We don`t get many of these people in the heavy weight gym... I guess they feel intimidated (can`t say I like that... everyone has to start somewhere) they just want to lose a bit fat, in my experience this fad never lasts too long.

Who knows, maybe their sub. might pay for some new equipment?

(or at least some new CD`s)

Don't let the big guys get to you Garza. If you're working bench and 125 is your max that's great. My only suggestion is that when you are doing the bench or heavy dumbells, (sounds like you don't have a partner) ask someone who works at the gym for a spot before you get on the bench. Any decent gym will have someone trained to help. I don't care how much weight you're lifting. When you reach your max, you're either going to stop short of failure, and get the reps up, or you'll have someone help you through the seemingly impossible last 2 or 3 reps. Then you're going to grow, and you won't be embarrassed about how much weight you're putting up.

I have two guys I normally work out with. Neither of them showed at 5 am this morning. I used a spotter, (someone who worked at the gym) when I got to my heavier sets. I was doing shoulders, (dumbbells then military barbell). Do not be afraid to ask for help.

As you have already heard eventually, sooner rather than later, the wimps will leave and things will get back to normal. But, please don't let any big guys get to you! As you said, you're going to blow them all away when you're their age. Hang tough kid and keep working hard.

No, 125 is not my max. I was doing it for like 6 reps or so. My bench is pathetic since its only my second time on bench. I used to do only dumbell bench.

You bitch and moan about new people in your gym and its really none of your business. Those people are not obligated to babysit or train you just because they train at the same gym as you.

Perhaps next time you should ask for a spot instead of judging everyone to be assholes. I find it hard to believe out of the 50 new members that joined your gym, they are all assholes as you say.

Better yet, dont overestimate how strong you are by lifting weight that you can't handle. I see it all the time, kids that lift with their egos and not their muscles. Piss poor form and execution on every single exercise they do. They squirm and wiggle, bounce and jerk weight around just to get it up.

You say you are 16 years old? Im guessing you just began weight training in the past year. Soon you get a car, then a girlfriend, then maybe go to school to pursue a career, then maybe get married and have kids. Somewhere along the way, your training goals are either sidetracked or all together forgotten about. Then one day you become one of these "new people" that once again step into a new gym with regular members that have been training there a long time. How would you feel if they thought that way about you? Lets see you keep this up for the next 5 or 10 years then tell me how you really feel.

Tom..shutup dude..your a old man with male pms. And yes, I do think it matters when I have been going there for a long ass time loyally 3-4 days a week and all these people try and come lift, dont know shit, have shitty form..etc. You cant put a car together without knowing how each part works right? And garza seems dedicated enough to me that he will be still lifting even if he has a gf, kid, school, and all that. I know the only way ill stop lifting is if im paralyzed from neck down. It's not that hard to lift even if you do have school, kid, grandma, dog, cat, and all that other stupid shit you mentioned. If hes dedicated enough and has the drive, he will still lift.

TOM ZENK: How old are you? I will most definitly keep at this, all of my life unless I am physically disabled or something.

I figured I did not need a spot, I tried for the last rep and just gave out. I expect my numbers to increase, just a matter of getting used to the movement. I have good form too.

So how much do you bench? 405?

I could flame you but I'm not going to. I have the confidence, and the desire to lift as long as possible. I don't need your insults.

Please don't ever put me and Frackal in the same sentance. Frackal is a confused child with far too much hostility. This may be due to his dead end job at KFC. The last thing he needs is to go on a cycle.

Yes I can be a dick but I just tell it like it is. The children that participate on this board are here for one reason only : they want steroids. How many of you have been e-mailed by them already asking where to get gear? These kids are 16, 17 year olds that have no business experimenting or reading a forum about steroids.

And no, I'm not a child. I'm much older than most of you here. When I was 16 I could bench 225 and squat 315, all without the use of steroids. Back then I understood about building a solid base before experimenting with any kind of drugs. I ate a lot and trained hard. I find it hard to believe a 16-18 year old kid could build a good enough base to begin steroid usage.

I didn't start my first cycle until my mid 20's. At that age I was 5'10", 220lbs, max benched 435, military pressed 245, squatted 495, deadlifted 405. Now almost 10 years and about 16 cycles later I'm 265lbs at 12% bf and maintain it quite well.

Too many kids experiment with the drugs for instant gratification. And don't believe what you hear about eating tons of food and training as hard as possible to make good gains while on the gear. Back when I was in High School, kids that used steroids knew nothing about nutrition or training yet they still blew up like balloons from the drugs.

It sickens me to see so many young kids participate in this type of forum. Kids are easily impressionable and when they read about the great gains someone gets off a cycle they want nothing more than to start one themselves.

A perfect example is Frackal. I remember reading once he wrote that he doesn't want to and is not going to use steroids. Next thing you know he's saying what is available to him and how to cycle it. This kid is no where near ready for a cycle. In my opinion he is years away from being ready to start as most people are.

As for KFC, my days at that shit job are numbered, as soon as I'm out of HS I'm out of there as well, probably to work at my gym before college.

You're a fucking asshole to put it bluntly, and I do NOT want to be associated with you at all.

Yes, when I first came here over a year ago I was like every other uneducated American about steroids. Now I know the truth.

Since we are judging people, I will say that you are a bitter motherfucker, I wonder, do you get picked on often in real life?

Also, I let out my agression here. I am not really as explosive in real life as I am on this message board. It's relieving to me to be able to go off and not be concerned about the consequences. So with that being said; GO FUCK YOURSELF!!! (original tonight)

I've had a bad day and school starts tommorrow so I'm off to bed.

I read you like a book Frackal and I was right when I said you have too much anger. Another undesirable candidate for steroid use.

A 19 year old is still a child that has much to learn. You say I have no right to judge you? I think I can safely say that you're not quite ready for a cycle. Spend some time to evaluate your life, body and anger management.

I honestly don't wish to see you or any other kid use something potentially harmful that their body isn't ready for yet. I've seen too many young kids fall victim to delusions of grandeur. You have already admitted to using many types of recreational drugs when you were "younger" as you said. Once drugs are abused once, there is greater danger for it to happen again reagrdless of what type of drug it is.

Yes, you're young and full of piss and vineger ready to take on the world. Take some time to slow down and enjoy life while you're still young. Someday you'll understand what I'm talking about but only time can teach you that. With maturity comes wisdom and knowledge.

That is a good bench for a 16 year old at about 160-180 pounds.

Did you compete in powerlifting back then because you could have been a good lifter in high school?

2Thick, I never competed in any powerlifting. I just did it for the love of lifting. There were about a half a dozen kids my age in school that had the same strength as me. We all trained together, hung out and had the same interests. None of us had great size at that age but we were all pretty strong. A couple of these guys started to experiment with steroids and they blew up like balloons but they still weren't ready for AS use.

Its not unusual to see a 16 year old bench 225. We have kids in our gym now that are built like toothpicks and they put up 225 for a 1 rep max (with good form). As long as they stick with it and eat right, they'll eventually build a solid base.

I think Zenk is right on the money on all his statements. I know I have been flamed for saying people are to young or inexperienced to hit the juice. We have idiots here weighing in at 165 pounds and like 6' wanting to juice etc. Ever hear of lifting? Eating? Actually putting time in at the gym?

Ok Tom. It seems that you know much about me while I know little about you.

You are about half right with your evaluation of me.

You'll have to take my word for it, but I can honestly say that I have control over my anger, it's not really a serious issue. I get a bit 'testy,' but I have only been in one fight in my life and I have excellent self control.

As far as being ready for a cycle, if you only knew the amount of work I have put into this, I don't think you would say that.

I can't really see any reason why not to start a cycle in approximately 3 months, once I'm sure my back is 100% and I have regained my previous natural weight of 6' 195 with abs.

You cannot possibly know all the factors in my life that affect whether or not I go forward with AS use, and I feel that I am making the right decision.

As far as past recreational drug use, I did, but I never had a problem with addiction, honestly. Even meth I stopped when I realized how bad it was. And I quit smoking after 3 years of a pack a day in less than 1 week.

Also, many people tell me like you have to slow down, 'chill' and enjoy life. But seriously, until I get to this point, this goal that I have in bodybuilding, nothing will stand in my way. This is what makes me happy..

Frackal..do you ever stop whining? Damn that is all I see is you flipping out. You are too young to roid, nothing to do with mental age, it is physical. You have been smoking a pack a day since 15? I smoked from age 13 to 16.
I did meth when I was 14.
You have no skeletons?

I never said anything about smoking weed. Many people here drink and use GHB but I thought ingestion of marijuana once a month or so would be a safe way to kick back.
I doubt I will even do it.
