OK, so I am watching this program about how Mezcal is made & the hows & wheres they get the aguave worm for the Tequilla. The people who grow the aguave cactus basically survive on eating the worms, before they are TQed of course, and they were saying that a handfull of the little bastards had as much protein as 1 steak. So I'm thinkin hmmm...1 steak has what about 40g of protein? 1 handfull of worms = 1 steak....O hell ya I'd be an aguave worm eatin mother fucker! Only about 5 handfulls of them per day would give me 200g. Enough for 1g/1lbs of bodyweight! Cheap too, just dig them up in your back yard mmm. I've seen other programs of other countries who eat all kinds of insect and they are LOADED with protein & no fat. Id eat em would you?? I mean could they be any nastier than most of the meal replacements out there?     | ||

I don't know what show you were watching but it must have been someone's fantasy, because quality tequila does not have a worm in it. That is a throwback to the days when cheap tequila was made with so little care that the worms that commonly infest the base of the agave frequently made it into the bottles. Putting worms into the bottles these days is strictly a marketing ploy for those who know nothing about tequila. Another common marketing ploy is selling so-called "gold" tequila. There is no such thing. "Gold" tequila has added sugar and caramel coloring. It is crap. It was invented to make college students think they were getting something good when they bought Jose Cuervo "Gold." Good quality tequila needs neither salt or lime to go with it, for sipping it is a true pleasure. If you don't believe this, get a bottle of Patron Anejo or something similar, and try it. You'll never go back to cheap tequila again. ------------------ | ||

just go to GNC and buy the store brand of protein powder. they sell them in a buy one get a second 1/2 off sale all year round. they have 16 serving cannisters & 64 serving tubs. two tubs will give you 3072 grams of protein for $38 so, nope i wouldn't. | ||

Sorry dude, but all Mezcal does not have a worm in it. It is and always has been a marketing gimmick, originally used to mask the taste of inferior product.
