I know the base unit is $595 MSRP. Anyone know how much the more expensive ones with disablers are...? Thanks,

My brother has one in L.A. which was a very good idea. He paid $600 installed, I believe it has the disable function, I don't know if it a option, it seems that it would be part of the package. I hope this helps. Happy New Year!

System 1 is $595. Systems 2 thru 5 have the disabler but they want you to call them or a dealer for the price.

This system (any one of them) can be easily defeated with an electronic device called the "wand". You're wasting your cash.

Theres a better system out there than LoJack now. I forget what it's called but you control your alarm like a pager. Your alarm has it's own phone #. If someone steals your car, you page the #, put in your code, and your car will turn off and the horns and lights flashing. You can also control everything else through it, power windows, sunroof, remote start, everything. Fuck I wish I remember what it's called. Made by same company as Viper.

Smooth, I know what you're talking about. And being from NJ, car theft is a real problem for you isn't it...ha ha ha.. that also can be disabled by the "wand". These systems are waste if a real car theif steals your shit. If you;re worried about joyriders....those usually get recovered anyway.

Goddamn wands! Matt, what's your recommendation for an alarm? That new "club-like" thing seems like a good option. I think it goes under the brake pedal or something. |
