Is it just the end your nothing? Would you be born again with another mom and remember nothing about your old life (so like having a 2nd life)? Would you turn into a spirit and watch after your living loved ones?

Well if you are not cremated, you will be put in a hole in the ground where your body will decompose over many years and if there is a crack in the coffin, critters will crawl all over you, eating and pooping. I guess?

I agree with Motorhead about your physical being. As far as your mental/"spiritual" being---its just electrical impulses & they cease upon death, so it should be restful oblivion.

you probably cease to exist, but that doesn't explain why ghosts exist.

bacteria and whatnot start eating at your flesh...and eventually worms, parasits and such eat away at all tissues until there is only a skeleton...simple as that...what so hard to understand or accpet...

That is a very good question. Some believe that as others have said its over when you die. There are some that believe that there are two kinds of life. There is the physical life and the spiritual life. The physical life is called bios. Bios describes the unoin of your physical body and your immaterial self....mind, emotions, will. The spiritual life is called zoe. Zoe means that your soul or spirit is in union with God. Zoe is only for those who have placed their trust in Christ for their salvation. I believe that when we die our physical body is like others have said worm food, but the spiritual life goes to be with God. Passion is a strong thing. you guys know that first hand trying to mold your bodies into shape. I think that has to be something other that a physical thing. It makes us who we are as individuals. I can feel the heat from the flamings.......

the evidence is contradictory. Ghosts (which in a way prove life after death) vs. people who feel like they just passed out after being revived from death. read something by Corliss Lamont, he was anti-immortality. or susan blackmore. i'd like to believe in immortal life, but i find it hard to believe that a creator who created unbearable levels of pain would care enough to create an afterlife with blissful emotions. we are tools, and our emotions are our guidance systems. all that matters is our obedience, and when we are useless (dead or "off"), we are destroyed.
