i saw johnny o's and i laughed  mine is not that bad, but here goes... i moved up to michigan and my checking is still in nashville, as is all my cash (banks), so i use a visa check card... well i buy some antiques for the mom and then go to walmart.... i put my stuff up and..... NO CARD... i have no cash, no check card... NOTHING.. i have no way to get any money till at least tuesday and i dont see how... so i leave my stuff with the register and say "i will be back in 20 minutes, can you keep this here?" "yes" she says.... well, at least it wasnt xmas eve, so i went back and got my card from the antique store and then went back to walmart... guess what? my stuff was gone!!! the lady said they took it on her break... IT WAS THE LAST ONE OF THESE THINGS IN THE STORE!!!!!!!!!! gone... i had to go to 2 other stores to find it... johnny, put your story in this thread too.     | ||

Monday I ordered everyone in my family gifts from Spiegel online.. spent about $900 total for about 15 different gifts. Requested 2 day express delivery, and charged it on my Spiegel card (one of the few cards I still have). No delivery happends.. hmm.. so I call them. What? they don't have an order.. well I have a confirmation number and everything printed out from the web page.. where is my ORDER! Turns out if you don't use your card for 6 months they cancel it. Gee, the only time I EVER use Spiegel is Christmas. And even though the web interface allows me to order (I still can create orders with the card), and get shipping confimration numbers over the web, the orders get canceled after the fact and NO ONE notifies you that they canceled the order. You just sit around expecting orders that never come. So here it is.. Fri.. no gifts. I'm going to have to shop the old fashion way. Please for the love of GOD NEVER SHOP SPIEGEL EVER AGAIN!!!! I'm going to make it my personal cruisade to put the fuckers out of business. | ||

Last year I had been shopping and locked the gifts I had bought in my trunk. Was running late and had plans that evening so I got home, left them in my trunk and went out with friends. I come home the next day go to my parking garage later that day to go out and well what do you know, my car has been stolen-gifts and all. Fortunately I still have about 2 weeks until Christmas and figures I'm screwed so I start buying some more gifts. After about a week,i get a call, my car had been found. I go to the garage to check out the damage, pop my trunk and someone must have been looking out for me, my gifts are still there, my car is trashed but the gifts ok. I go back to the garage a few days later to get my car-fixed like new. Pop my trunk-nothing. Turns out, along with repairing my car, they shampoo the interior-and the trunk-go figure. In order to do this, they bag everything in garbage bags while this is being done. Turns out, my bags were SUPPOSEDLY mistaken for garbage and likely thrown out! The garage refused to replace these items and told me to claim in on my insurance-yet it has a $500 deductable. Have told everyone I know about this garage and begged them to pass it along to everyone they know. No business from me ever again. | ||

OH my God, GutsyGirl what a horrible string of bad luck--geesh. Here's mine. I have so many people to buy for so I do most of my shopping a few weeks ago but left some of the important things for last minute (ran out of $ and credit so needed another paycheck) anyway the freakin' car breaks down on wednesday (transmission--only car I have). The guy at the repair shop says no problem he'd look at it on friday. Friday he doesn't get to it and guess what closed for the friggin' holidays. Won't open back up till tuesday. So I figure ok, I'll get a rental--no rentals till tuesday. I've called EVERYWHERE. NO freaking rentals can you believe that? Now, I have to borrow a friends car to get all my shopping done today. I hope I can pay for the transmission with the remainder of the money. Plus, I am supposed to be moving back to Florida this week!!!!!!!Looks like the sunshine state is on hold for now....boohoo. | ||

Not a horro story but its a story none the less. Me and my bro went Christmas shopping a few days, bout a week before Christmas to the King of Prussia Mall. Anyone who doesn't know PA too well its the biggets mall near Philly and is reknowned for its jewlery stores etc. My bro had been workin long shifts for the entire week prior and was too tired to shave. So hes got this bum like beard growin and just comin from work still has his work clothes on. We went into this jewelry store for his girl and he asked to see some bracelet or what not, can't remember exactly cause I really wasn't interested. Well the bitch tells him she don't think he can afford it and insists on showing him some ugly ass thing. He says no and that he wants to see the thing he picked out first. So the fuckin bitch says "I just bought this for my daughter....blah blah blah." So my bro got pissed and says "Lady its friggin ugly you wasted your god damn money on it...bitch." ive actually been there!!! thats where i stayed while enjoying my denver broncos eagles weekend a few years ago... the fuckin entire city is a mall. your bro should have fuckin whipped out the cash and said "bitch, let me see your manager" and had her fired.. or at least repremanded... then came back with a receipt from another store and showed it to the boss and let him know she cost him a sale. |
