I have just read a post where someone is prone to hairloss and wants to cycle using just Primo alone. Good idea I guess, but he question is, Doesn't a steroid have to have the ability to convert to DHT in order to affect the hairline (or anything else for that matter), or is it a matter in this case of increased Progesterone production? ------------------     | ||

I have been told it must convert to dht or in the of ANADROL-50 have a dht base.Have never heard of the progesterone link to baldness. Just my $.02 | ||

No, the steroid doesn't need to have the ability to change to DHT to cause hairloss. The theory is that there is one androgen receptor, regardless of the type of tissue (muscle, prostate, hair). Androgenic/Anabolic steroids (AAS) can bind to these receptors in any tissue. Therefore an AAS can bind directly to the AR in the hair follicle causing hairloss without converting to DHT. | ||

It's not only DHT that causes hair loss. It is due to the androgenicity of the drugs you are losing. DHT happens to be extremely androgenic without any of the anabolic properties which is why you hear people talk it down.. Basically it means sides with no gains. | ||

Strange as it seems......I get most of my hair loss AFTER my cycle is over while my hormones are trying to bounce back to normal. Also I get the worse hairloss from Deca and Fina which don't convert to DHT I think. | ||

id like to add a question for those in the know. i am about to start a fina winny cycle and i was wondering since neither of these drugs convert to dht (i dont think anyway) what can i take to prevent hairloss on this cycle? arent all the hairloss products used to combat dht? and wouldnt that make them useless for this combination? | ||
