couple of quick questions:

1) What is the ratio of on time to off time time a beginning insulin user should follow?

2) What are some of your favorite high carb drinks to drink after workout/insulin shot?

I've heard 4 on 6 off. I mix 1 scoop dextrose, 3 scoops maltodextrin and a little bit of kool aid punch flavoring for after the shot.

It doesnt matter, you need high glycimic carbs. Any carb drink,or juice, or even soda.
There is no reason to get fancy.

I have used insulin quite a bit. I think the on/off cycle recomendations are all hersay and your guess is as good as mine, I don't feel any danger from becoming diabetic from it. I remember talking to CJAC, and he stays on it all the time with no problems. Here are some pointers from my experiences. This is just for practical applications, obviously the competitive bodybuilders do much more then this.

-Insulin by itself without gear, gives a very fattening result

-Humalog is best, the shorter acting the insulin, the less chance of gaining fat.

-only use it after training and on training days only.

- 10-20 IU's is plenty per day.

-With steroids, more gear can = more muscle but with insulin, more slin = more fat.

-With humilin-R, be prepared to eat right after, and about 1.5 hours later also.

-Overall, if u get fat easy, its not worth it, especially if u eat fatty foods to bulk up.

-I have found that insulin stacked with creatine @ 5 grams per day works very well off cycle to keep gains, but again, u have to watch the fat levels in your diet. This stack keeps alot of water in you, both subcutaneously (not so good), and intramuscular (good). This helps to keep strength and size.

Mr. Blond is right on the money. My insulin cycle was always six weeks on, four weeks off. Or I would go four weeks on, three weeks off, four weeks on to space it over a cycle time.

Favorite drink is Twinlab UltraFuel

I have used Humilin'R'. You must consume a minimum of 110gr of carbs within 20-30 minutes after your shot. And ya no more than 20iu after your workout. Any more and you just get fat. And yes you must eat a good sized meal 1 1/2 hours later. Insulin can be dangerous shit if not used properly.
Be very careful. Humilin R lasts 6-8 hours,
it's a good idea to stay awake for 6-8 hours after your "shot". For your first few postworkout shots only do like 5 iu's. See how your body reacts to it. ie:side effects.

I use humalin C..a bit longer acting then the R, up to 8 hrs, only 10ius after work outs..nothing fancy..my drink is iso pur with 5 grms glutamine and 2 scoops of brown sugar, a yam every hr for 3 hrs
