My favorite bodybuilders of all time are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu. I also love Serge Nubret, Sergio Oliva, Robby Robinson, Dareem Charles and Shawn Ray. The best of all time is Shawn Ray! Bodybuilders from the 70's had the best bodies and I'm not saying this because I'm old since I'm only 20.

I don't know how anyone can admire the physiques of todays pros. I don't even keep up to date with the pro BB scene anymore. All the nice looking athletes like Flex, Rae, and Priest get screwed over by the mass monsters. 42" waist with abs?!

Jean-Pierre Fux, and Paul Dillet are terrible eyesores to todays bodybuilding scene. I hope no-one actually wants to attain a physique like that.

I get a kick out of the younger newbies want to lift and look like big poppa pump or markus rhul. Heading towards sure dissapointment and a bad physique.

I just think that old time (arnol era) bodybuilders had much better physiques, ones also which are attainable. My opinions only, no hard feelings.

Also Lee Haney was pretty damn close.

Aaron Baker for the nice full muscle bellies and great shape all the time.

Gunter, no explanation needed.....

Sergio Oliva for the freaky mass--One of my favs--I'm gonna look for a good pic.
Steve Reeves for the great bod pre-juicage.
Arnold needs no explanation as well.
Momo because he died tryin'.
Albert Beckles because he did it till he collected social security.
Lou Ferrigno for overcoming great odds.

There's more but I can't think of them right now.

O.K. #1 our time Flex by FAR he has the best muscle bellies porportion and one of the smallest waist. And up until recently he never had the GH gut. #1 back in the day Sergio i cannot believe how ripped he was able to get without most of the AS we have today and one of the smallest waists.
I know a lot of you said Arnold i think he was good BUT has anyone else noticed his rib cage. It sticks out soooo far it looks dumb, maybe it is just me but i don't like it at all. #2 for our day Shawn Ray!!

Arnold is in a class of his own. He could or could not (we don't know) beat the hell out of Coleman. Arnold is very unpredictable.
But Sergio Oliva, everytime seeing some of his pics from 25-30 years ago, my god, he was very close to the best guys now. Give him what Coleman takes and he would be Mr. O.

Not sure but I think he was shot twice. Once by his wife and once while walking his beat (he was a cop). There is an interview with him in an Old musclemag. Article gave me a whole new respect for him.

The Myth was also the only bodybuilder in his day to hold a full time job while training for the olympia.

He had a do or die attitude, nothing could hold him from his destiny.

Anyone ever liked the lesser publicized champs like sammir bannout, chris dickerson, robbie robinson, lee haney, dexter jackson, or ahmed kaydar(sp) (he competed in the olypia a few years ago, looked fantastic, I though he was going to win, then he ended up with last place)

As far as Bobby paris goes he came out of the closet in an interview in Ironman years ago,get this his boyfriend's name was ROD his career never the same.Maybe he should give Ned Beatty a call he likes to "Squeal like a pig"

One of the best in the 80'S which is when BB was the best, MATT MENDINHALL. Does anyone agree?

As for today, I think Marcus Rhurl, Ronnie look out Macus is coming.

Nac, Robbie? You must be joking. Compared to Sergio he just wouldn't exist on stage. Come on get serious. As for abs, in the seventies abs where hardly trained with weights. In general Joe Weider's magazines stated ' who wants to have thick abs'. That was in the old days of course. NOw it is different, different abs, different roids, growht hormones, insulin, etc, etc. Maybe Robbie would have done better in the nineties, but i don't think so.
