Why am I sleepy all day no matter how much rest I get? What foods do you guys recommend that do not induce sleepiness? Is it a sign of too many carbs? I am getting 8 hours or sleep each night. Do I need an energy booster? Am I oxygen deprived?

thanks

bs

1) Give us your diet so we can relate to it
2) Try the diet forum

* Manypeople get dizzy due to adaptations to diets. Especially on ketogenic diets (do a search) its due to the body's gettign used to the lack of carbs.
Try http://homepages.together.net/~twilbur/fitness.htm
That should answer your questions
Email if you have some questions, I might be able to answer them.

Your diet may not be the problem; you may have sleep apnea. Do you snore?..Do you fall asleep very easily during the day, no matter how much sleep you get at night?.. Sleep apnea is a disorder that affects your breathing during sleep, essentially you have problems breathing and therefore sleep is interrupted all night long. You may sleep for 10 hours but it is useless. You need to have a pulmonologist examine you to determine if you need a sleep study done. People with this disorder are at higher risks for heart disease and death from driving accidents.

If this is not the answer, then you may have hyperinsulinemia or hypothyroidism.

It could also be that your lactose intolerent.
I was feeling tired all the time, and I decided to try eliminating milk + cheese from my diet.
Sine Ive done this I feel so much better, more energy and a clearer head.
Try eliminating lactose from your diet and see how you feel after a week or so.
If that doesn't work Id go see the doc .
