May depend on state and how much trouble the pharmacist gives you. Humalog needs a presrip. Easier to order via internet and less hassle. | ||

Yes, Humalog you need a script in the US. You can by Humalog R over the counter. Try www.hocks.com They have it, and even sell the insulin pins. (and the other pins)

It's Humilin R, not Humalog. I got some just a few days ago here in OK. I asked for Humalog first, but he said I needed a script, so I said give me the Humilin R then. He said "Ok, it will be at the register." I had the cashier get the pins for me too. Just act like you know what you're doing. Insuin is not known for being used for purposes other than diabetes, so they probably won't suspect anything. Besides, I wouldn't think they can do anything anyway since you don't need a prescription for it. | ||

You can goto Carecenter.com and grab some along with the pins. They are great and I don't think you'll need a pres from them if you are in FLA. | ||

I was in Walmart buying stocking stuffer BS, and i was by the pharmacy and low and behold there was this huge sign that said something about Insulin. They are selling it over the counter there, 100 IU's for about 16 bucks or so. Its definitly legal over the counter in 'Bama. ------------------ | ||

I read on another post that it is good until the exp. date on the bottle. It should say in the papers that come with it, or a pharmacist would know. | ||

Yes you can buy insulin over the counter w/ no prescription.Because if a diabetic, get's "low" on blood/sugar, they can go into hypoglycemic shock, thus possibly dying, and they are say at a movie or whatever, by the time they go see a doctor or have to drive a long ways to a hospital, they have died.So pharmacies offer insulin (make sure it is Humulin R)over the counter for this reason. In the states, a 10ml @100iu/ml costs like 20 bucks. It's the cheap man's steroid. But the most dangerous all. UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO USE INSULIN, THEN DO NOT USE IT. One miscalculation of insulin /amount of carbs consumed can be fatal. This is serious shit. | ||
