I see there are a number of knowledgeable and participative bro's who can bring real value to this board as mods.

While I won't at this time mention others, I would unhesitatingly vote for Huck.

The original issue was (1) I got stimulated by proposals from mods and vets to be a mod and (2) the time zone in which I live lends itself to a better board. And it interests me.

Personally, I would like to see a European, Indian, true Asian, and Australian/NZ mod added at the least. And dispatch the non-participative mods (mods who don't post every 1 - 3 days).

We need cultural diversity and those who have real hardcore experience in areas where gear is produced and seriously distributed. Not toadies or Mass Quantities distributors.

Not that I have anything against Mass Quantities. After all, when I visit George Spellwin in New York for a chat, I'm gonna buy some.

And Huck it's nice to vote for Dex (he did the same for you) but please don't give up your place.

I honestly believe there is place for 2 or even more mods. Every mod cannot be on every EF board or even cannot be here every day. Mods do have a live too.

So George, cut the rope and do not choose the best mod (Huck, no doubt about that), take them both Huck and Dex.

I am not saying that Dex would be a minor mod, he is very lyric, puts the right words on the board, the right answers, knows his stuff also.

You did some writing in high school?
Give us a clue.

And as for Slopain: i think he would be a great mod too, but maybe he does not want it that bad, don' want the commitment, i don't know.

For the FIFTH freaking time, I want to thank you for your support. It means a lot to me. And I've learned a lot in this process.

I am saddened that for FOUR times your generous comments have been obliterated for no apparent - at least at this time, to the best of the knowledge I'm investigating - reason. It sucks: Dozens and dozens of man-hours wasted, because of some choad.

Mods are mods for a purpose (or various and sundry reasons about which I don't care).

But at the core they particpate and contribute, with their different perspectives and knowledge and experience.

In my opinion, those mods who have not actively, consistently (at least every 1 - 3 days) participated should be removed and replaced. Period. (Their prior posts can be found in archives.)

Macro excluded (and maybe BPP), unless there could be a catagory of "Mod Emeritis."

Started my own business involving satellites. Invited into Virginia's (incubator) Center for Innovative Technology.

Found my way to Russia on the invitation of a Lieutenant General of the former KGB, via White House connections.

Started and led a $5+ million technology business with 260 employees in Moscow.

Left the business after a greasy merger/ takeover. Shit happens. Gym saved my life.

Go to the gym now . Meet with friends. Visit EF, and whatnot. And "get packing," so to speak.

Etc.

I would be happy to be a mod for reasons I've mentioned before. I think there is room for several participative mods, but if it turns out to be only one, hands down my vote would be for HUCK.

I guess I'm editing this message not for self-gratification or impression, but the fact that I believe a small team, competent, well organized, and energetic, is a truly formitable force.

And each member of the team contributes expertly in his or her own way (and, in my opinion,different ages are ar real plus).
