Is it just me or does anyone else notice that sometimes you'll go read a post and there's a reply by someone that you've never seen before, but he has over 1000 posts? I read alot of posts so I'd think that if someone had that many posts I would have noticed the name by now???????????????????????????????? ------------------     | ||

That can be one of two things- #1, they live on the Chat board. Or #2, when George posted that he was fixing accounts they emailed him and said they have 800 posts. | ||

I do occassionally visit the chat board, but there are too many sickos down there though. It's good for a laugh every now and then though. I'd believe #2. I also believe that we have some wanna be hackers trying to make it look like they are old pro's! ------------------ | ||

I usually look at the date the perswon was registered any way. I may have only 600 post but I have been a contributor since June 1999. Some people just bump anything just to get higher rankings! ------------------ | ||

cubano, I was thinking the same damn thing just yesterday, I chalked it up to that these guys haven't been here in a while and that I'm somewhat new here. But there were a couple guys yesterday with post #'s rivaling slopain and alot of moderators. You'd think you'd be hearing more from bro's with those kind of post numbers. | ||

To me there is only one main board on which all AS topics -- except chat and conversation -- should be discussed, and that is the Anabolic Discussion Board. El cubano, Not to try to contridict you, but it is older than 1 year. As you can see, I registered in June of 1999. I still remember the post in September of 99 about E2 going over 1000 post. Man, that was a bid deal back then. However, I believe it was a year ago this month that they changed the format a little. Is that what you are talking about? Did you ever notice there are a bunch of moderators listed for each board yet you only hear from half of them? Anyway, there is a lot over on the chat board cause the anabolic board gets boring with the same posts day in and day out. Ever hear or T200, what is EOD, Do I need clomid? I obviously haven't tried it, but there is probably a way to fake out the server. Just think it through, there is a database and there is an entry for each of us - and there is probably a column that is "number of posts" and each time you post it needs to increment that number. A good way to do it would write it into the back end code to increment that number on each post - but it might be done on the page side - sending some value to it (I know that if you look at the source of the posting page, there is an input tag with the value of "1") - you could then connect to the cgi and pass it dummy data and it would update the DB. There are other ways too, but generally yeah, there are probably some losers doing a script kiddie equiv hack to it. This is what I do all day, but with telcom stuff and it isn't hard - if the programmers of this page want some help, speak up. | ||

Yes it does seem very funny that you registered in June of 99 because at that time the board still had it's old format. I've been posting on elite for over two years. I was probably the only one left after the big bust and every ran scared. When George created this new format BPP and I were the first mods. If you truly were here in Jun of 99 then you must know some of the old guys that are since gone and about the bust???? ------------------ | ||

I see people bump everything to get higher ranking. Sometimes thats all you see a member do.. its kinda funny. I've been here for over a year and I come to the board everyday, just to read and educate myself. If all these people read then they wouldn't have to ask the basic questions and this place would look alot better. Im with gymkid on this one. But i have been registered since Sept. 2000, but i have been actually reading on the board since early July. I only post every so often, but i too have started noticing people that i have never seen with over 1000 posts. It is definitly weird. ------------------ | ||

WarLobo, in my opinion both the HIV and Women's boards are worthwhile -- and as you know I visit them. And there is good content (unlike chat in my opinion, which was created for a reason). But how much mind-expanding can a rather normal person handle in one day, hopping from board to board and site to site? I get fully 100+ messages and newsletters and whatnot about computer/telecom technology in my regular inbox everyday. And 40 - 60 related to AS in addition, mainly -- good old reliable Hushmail. El Cubano, Actually, I know very little about the bust. I registered in June 99, But I didn't really start doing all that much with it until the end of summer. I remember bigpapapump getting pissed because everybody was emailing him for gear and shit. lol I am sure you remember that. Also I made some good friend in that time like Texas Guns, Chesty and Mr. Laredo (who only post like 3 times a month. That was the good ole days to, when a lot of unnecessary bullshit was posted. By the way, what ever happened to E2's post "Nebies must read", we must have bumped that thing over 200 times. I think when that stopped being posted is when we got all the questions that could be answered in the searches. Don't you agree? By the way, did you ever read my post about that tanning bad in the nude experience that I had that made my dick swell up. That was an experience!!!! hehehe ------------------ | ||

nah, the post count is messy cuz those of us who go to the chat board and talk about stupid shit all day long get a ton of posts... and those at the anabolics board can only answer so many dbol questions a day. i had a legit 300 posts from anabolics board till april, then i quit spending time on this board and had 3000 by the beginning of december, when my account got fucked up... | ||

Some people who have quite a few posts and a registration date that seems at odds with that have been here longer than their profiles would indicate. When some accounts were deleted in June, George was able to recreate the accounts and the number of posts, but the profiles showed a later registration date. I know this happened to 2Thick and me (and probably several other people as well). I think my actual registration date was in February. | ||

I remeber first coming on the board, I read for 4months without posting anything. Evertime I had a question I did a search and it was awnsered so I didn't need to post. As you can see I've been registered for awhile and just throw my 2cents every once in awhile(like now). Yeah, it is easy to rack them up on chat. A lot of interaction over there. It's not an intentional thing. It just kind of happens after you're there for awhile. I got most of my first 300 or so posts over here, the majority of the rest have been over in chat. End up spending time in chat cuz a) it gets boring over here or b) I'm not cycling at a given moment so I don't feel like reading about it. Once you get past some of the weird shit on chat, it's kinda cool over there. Who really cares how many posts you have anyway? It's about the quality and what you contribute, not the quantity. | ||
