Hello Bros! What�s the deal with HCG?? I tought it was better and quicker than Clomid, but i see all the veterans (Like Kodiak and Huck) talking only about Clomid. After A cycle I use a 3 Week Cycle of HCG (2500-5000 each week) and then a 2 week cycle of clomid (50 1st and 25 2nd) with awesome results. Respect you all!    | ||

Hi Boris.Clomid addresses the root of the problem,by re-starting production of leutenizing hormone directly from the pituitary,while hcg "acts"like leutenizing hormone,thus temporarily elevating testosterone levels.But in doing so,it actually keeps the hypothalamus and pituitary in a state of inhibition,because they're being sent the signal that already enough testosterone/estrogen is present.Again,clomid addresses the root of the problem,while HCG provides a temporary"work-around". | ||

Couldn't have said it better myself Huck. . .I just wanted to add so our friend Boris gets where I am coming from on this. . .HCG is fine and I agree that if the therapy you've devised works for you post cycle continue using it. I would avoid HCG unless under dire circumstances. . .EG: know I have trouble getting my natural test restarted. . .the reason being the use of HCG, while immediately stimulating Test production, (this is temporary), can also causes a spike in estrogen and a tendance for estrogen related sides to occur during this part of the cycle. When synthetic Test is no longer being used, natural test is at a low and estrogen is sky rocketing. Personally, I do not suggest its use as for most bro's it is unnecessary and somewhat dangerous. . .I do suggest if you are going to use it to use it with nolva to avoid estrogen related sides. . .My last reason for not mentioning it in most cycles is I rarely see it available and since I have had success with clomid in the past don't make a special effort to procure it. I have the utmost respect for Huck and Kodiak � they are incredibly knowledgable, so I'm reluctant to contradict them, but my experience has been slightly different. I don't take clomid throughout my cycle and I find that when I add the clomid a week after my last shot, it usually takes about two weeks before I feel any results. Therefore, I use HCG for the first two weeks in addition to the clomid treatment to avoid a major crash between the time of my last shot and the time the clomid starts to take effect. So this is what my schedule looks like 1st week after last test shot: 2500IUs HCG 2xs/wk and 100mg clomid ed 2nd wk: 2500IUs HCG 2xs/wk and 50mg clomid ed 3rd wk: 50mg clomid ed I don't know if my logic is right or wrong here, but this has worked well for me so far. ------------------ [This message has been edited by latona (edited December 20, 2000).] |
