To work one body part per day? What is the benefit of this vice the conventional chest/tris, bi's/back, legs/shoulders. Especially while using AS. Looked at Flex1 pictures and noticed he menioned he worked out one body part per day. Any who switched what is you opinion? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I only do one body part per day. The problem I found with corresponding bodyparts on the same day was lack of intensity and therefore neglect for one of the two muscles. Say you do chest and tris together. If you do chest first you are also using the triceps. By the time it is thier turn for a full blasting they are already halfway beat and tired. Glycogen has been used from them so intensity to fully beat the hell out of them lacks considerably. Same goes for back/bi's, shoulders/chest, shoulders/tri's. By only targeting one body part per workout it is assured you are able to foccus full energy on that muscle to fully stimulate it. Obviously if you are better able to stimulate and break down the muscle in an effective fashion then your gains will be better. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If you train each body part properly you should only be able to do each bodypart once a week. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

1 body part per week works best ![]() ![]() ![]()

In the old days you trained chest and then tri's. The tri's needed less work, since they where already tired for a part. You can train every bodypart once a week, but actually your tri's (as an example) are also worked on chest day, so they get more work per week. Or you could do back and tri's on the same day. Then the tri's are not tired before you hit them. Maybe it is best to try the 3 ways out, to see what fits best or to change training abits. If one would follow Mike Menzer's way of training with crap 2/3 sets, then 2 bodyparts a day would be fine (no ?). The main thing is, as long as you gain, it's ok, no mather what you do. ------------------ Don't look back, life is too short ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Depends on your goals as well as level of experience. Strength athletes usually tend to train each lift more frequently, while body builder style workouts generally focus on inflicting muscle tissue trauma, requiring longer rest periods. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
