Alright i am 21 years old and I am having the worst time putting on weight. I eat 4500 calories a day, train 5 days a week and get more then enough sleep. i have longer muscles and small bones I guess i am classified as an ectomorph. I am getting so discouraged tho. I have been patient about my weight gains and they have come slowly but i always seem to get stuck around 170lbs. I was just wondering if maybe my training routine has something to do with it or maybe i am stuck with the shitty genetics. can anyone shed some light on the subject.

Lift heavy. Forget how many reps you can do- just load the bars and do as many as you can. Whether it be 5 or even 2. You may think you cant lift more than you are currently lifting, but next time you go to the gym add a few pounds to each exercise and just try your damndest to push out a few reps.

Have you used AS or plan on using AS at all?

shorten your workout--it seams when my schedule disabled my 2 hour workouts, my gains increased dramaticly
(unless of course you're undertraining)

it is your metabolism. it will slow down in the future.. i am the same way, i was always stuck at 170-175(5'6") they gave me some blood pressure meds for my heart rate because they said it was too fast and that was part of the problem of gaining weight. it slowed it down alot and i hit an EQ/Sust/Dbol cycle and gained 20lbs and kept 15 of it with no clomid.... so, keyword here is "metabolism"

Mr. H I have a bunch of dbol and enough onma for a 8 week cycle running the onma at 500 a week for eight weeks. I kinda wanted to add some weight and get my training down before i start. I am really worried about the sides for one acne is my biggest fear otherwise i am fine with it. I have a feeling i will be very prone to it. Might be the least important side to some but one of my biggest. I wanna ask you this to I have so many different ways to train I have heard since i am smaller my muscle require lest rest meanin I should train each bodypart twice a week, then I have heard a 3 day split is more then enough cause i need a lot of rest then i heard train 5 days a week cause 3 day split is used for cutting and just maintaining size. So I am confused in the aspect therefore jumping back and forth between routines which bothers me and is very discouraging when you start something and everyone tells you its wrong. So i am basiclly lost. i train hard , eat well and get my sleep requirments just having a rough time here
