that depends. some pros never get above 10-11 % when bulking. Personally, I'm ok with 14-15%, but get a little uncomfortable beyond that. It isn't about numbers, anyway. Just look in the mirror - it never lies. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Most of the older vets I have spoken to tell me that 10-12% is an ideal BF at the beginning of a bulking cycle (for the best gains). Then I would imagine 14% (during bulking) would be the limit for most lifters before their definition fades. I believe 16% is the average bf% for a male in the US so that is kind of high. On the other hand, at 10% and below you should see abs. 12% is ideal during bulking and 10% is ideal as an average for me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I start to lose sight of my six pack at 10% gets soft and I can see it only in good lighting. I try not to loose sight of them, worked hard for them and LOVE Them. ![]() 16.4% and you can see the top 2 rows of abs, that is impressive. But it also depends on your true bodyfat... What type of bodyfat test did you have done. Remember that calipers are only a VERY rough guess unless performed by an expert. DXA is the industry standard, Submersion the second. Calipers by a doctor say that I am 8% in off season, bio-eletrical impedance pegs me at an incredible 17%, whereas the DXA is 6.8% Get a DXA done, but get your doctor to recommend it, it costs over $200 to get the test done. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
