dont you think these should be readily-avaliable to bump up; so that they are active again for further discussion w/out having to make an entire new thread, theres alot of good info in there that half the board will never read-- just something to think about GEORGE! ------------------     | ||

I don't think it's possible to edit or add posts to archived topics with Infopop bulletin board software (that's the software elite uses). Once a post is archived it is read-only. The advantage of archiving is it takes up less space on the server. I built a web site for a client that used this software and we had the same problem. On the other hand, I agree that it would be great if you could bump old topics, especially since sometimes I'll do a search and then find an archived topic I'd like to ask a question about. Perhaps topics could be around longer before they were archived. It seems like right now a topic only has a lifespan of less than a week. | ||

Unfortunately, archived topics cannot be revived, so I encourage everyone to repost an old topic if they have new questions. Also, remember to make use of the other boards, some of them are slower than this one. i dont think its fair to have to pay for a slower board, ive been invited, i have the money, and may even check it out, just dont think id need to seperate myself from the rest of the regular board to let it get any more water-downed than its already getting--so i can be one of the SELECT.... ------------------ |
