Yeah, in case some of you didn't know, packages from Canada are searched and scanned especially heavily during christmas time, counter-intuitively. Even my source, who's been dealing for 7 years didn't know this, which upset me. Me and a few of my friends got roughly 1300 bucks of gear seized by customs. I also know of other people who's packages have been seized in the last few days. Although, 10 days ago, I know some people who got there gear fine. Apparently, customs knows that people will try to take advantage of the deluge of packages during christmas and send more contraban then. Mostly, however, I think that customs is trying to get people who haven't paid there duties. So they try to impose fines on people who's packages fall into certain classifications. Moral of the story: Don't try to receive shit from canada during this time of the year, or you'll get screwed.     | ||

ok tough guy, i'm a rookie because i just joined this discussion board, not because i don't have experience. try 7 years. this is just the first time that i've ordered from canada. the guy i've tried to get my gear from has lost only 3 of 71 shipments, so i guess i ignorantly placed trust in his hands. | ||

You're right...but only 400 of it was mine. I've done many of that size before, and nothing has happened. Guess i just got unlucky. | ||

Yeah, don't be worried about the older guys on the board. I've been a vet for over 3 years on other boards, just came here, and after 100 posts I'm still getting flamed (which is funny because they don't provide solid counter-arguements, just insecure comments). actually i did order some stuff from Canada. I havent received it for some time now. If customs did catch my package what is in store for me. Do i get a letter or is someone coming to my door.. | ||

Just order domestic and you wont have probs, like waiting 2 months for gear I have, and It was a long long time ago and it will NEVER happen again. Now if I have to wait a week, Im pissed. When you guys go from forum to forum, do you usually stick with the same username? Just speaking for myself, I always try to do that so that I can tell guys like ultra that while I may have a couple posts here, I've got a couple hundred somewhere else. Even when I'm not able to do so, I usually let people know right away that I'm someone else at another board. With all the anonymity the net provides, I beleive it's important to build up a rep with ONE username. There are other discussion boards I go to pertaining to other topics, and at each one within the same topic, I am always the same person. It goes a long way with dealing with the various dickheads at forums who think by making the vets laugh by ragging on newbies, they'll be looked at as not being newbies themselves anymore. | ||

What's the longest any of you guys have had to wait before an order came through through customs? I've waited 6 days on a 1-2 day package, so mine's gone, but does customs occasionally take a while? Thanks | ||

Look it takes time to package the shit up,(after you work all freaking day)you got fifty orders in a pile got to get the addy straight go to the post office, and bla bla bla do you think your the only one that wants gear? Think again, and be patient. And by the way stop ordering shit from canada I have a good freind that lives there, Just dont order from there. DOMESTIC, PATIENCE, READ YOUR ASS OFF. <peace> Bob p.s. good post and to clear up misconception its not the old timers ( i am one) who flame folks its the ones who have been here for a few months with alot of posts who flame. I've never flamed anybody and never will. Nobody knows everytihng and THATS the bottom line | ||

Res, my source sent it the same day he received payment. It didn't take a long time to package stuff in a 14 in by 2 in box. So none of the 6 days is on his end, he sent it out same day, i have the tracking number. | ||

Maybe it just gets stuck in customs or something. I waited 2 months on one 1 time. Just new they were going to break my door down after the delivery. Never ordered from overseas again. It just wasn't worth the stress. And the risks of sezure just isnt worth it. Domestic is the way to go bro! Later Bob | ||
