Ok.. i was out of syringes so I went to the pharmacy today. A guy I new from high school was working behind the counter. me and him never really talked because he's like 2 years behind me in school, but we know of each other. Well.. i told him what i needed and he just sits there and looks at me for like 10 seconds.. he finally turns to get them and he starts rummaging through boxes that are labeled "Insulin needles." I said, "Hey man, those aren't it.. they are back there w/ the pharmacist." He gets a damn attitude w/ me and says, "I know where they are!" In the meantime, I turn around and the preacher from my old church walks in............... perfect timing too.. by the time he brough the needles back up the counter, preacher man was standing right beside of me....... =) I just kept my head down and walked out.........     | ||

meathead: nah.. its the preacher from my old church.. the one i went to a few years back. Who knows, the guy might not've even recognized me because i look at lot different now then I did then. But I was sure not to make eye contact with him. Does anyone else get a little nervous when you go get syringes?? I live in a small town. Most of my family and friends live around here, so I see people I know everywhere. If there is a long line at the register, I always look around a while before I go buy them so I can let the crowd thin down some. Im always looking behind me when the door opens too, to see who it is walking in.. I tell ya, its enough to make you shit your pants when u see your old minister walk in!! | ||

How do you ask for syringes at the pharmacy? I went to like 20 stores around here, used different stories and everything. I actually needed them for a presentation on steroids in a pharmacology class, but couldn't even get some for that. I got some pretty discerning looks from everyone, and then, half the places said they didn't even carry 19, 21, or 23g. needles! Anyone else have problems? | ||

in van b.c we have medical supply stores you can pick up any needles you want there it cost me $25 canadian for 100 22 guage | ||

pd, what state are you in.. I just went to the local pharmacy that my supplier recommended since he knows the pharmacist. But, I think I should be able to get them w/o any special hookups here in NC. |
