I HAVE AND IT IS EFFECTIVE. IF YOU HAVE WORKED OUT WITHOUT JUICE USING THIS TRAINING PHILOSOPHY THEN YOU KNOW YOU WILL GROW.WITH JUICE YOU WILL GROW ALOT MORE,BUT DOING ONLY 1 OR 2 EXERCICES PER BODY PART WILL NOT FEEL LIKE IT IS ENOUGH WHILE YOUR "ON".SO MY ADVICE IS TO MAYBE ADD 2 MORE SETS PER BODY PART .DONT FORGET THE 15 SECOND CONTRACTIONS AT THE END OF THE SET,THEY HAVE DONE GREAT THINGS WITH ALL MY BODY PARTS, THE STUBBORN ONES ESPECIALLY.GOOD LUCK | ||

Here's a hint, I actually saw Mr.Heavy Duty training at Golds back in the late 70's when he was still competing; you know what, he was training lats like everyone else. Really floored me cuz I had bought his pamphlets on P.F. training and thought he was GOD! And there he was, the-all-mighty, training the same way mortals do. | ||

Seems contra-indicated on AAS. I'd go the other extreame. Maybe Poliquin's German Volume Training. HIT will work, but I wouldn't do it for more that 6 weeks a year though. | ||

I use hit exclusively, it just works best for me, I've tried most everything, it works the best juicing or not.When you are on you can up the intensity, more forced reps/negatives/drop sets, etc. You could be different, I stick to what works for me. Go to www.cyberpump.com they have a pretty good site that can guide you in the ways of hit. As far as reading on Metzner, he has two books out Heavy Duty 1 and 2 you can get these at Amazon I am sure. I have read them both, but the jist is all at cyberpump. A friend of mine tried it religiously for 3 months and got considerably weaker. He had gotten real serious with a girl and the program made him feel less guilty for spending less time at the gym. The result was a decreased energy capacity of the muscles to perform any more than one set. Everyone's body is different, mine does better with about four sets with 8-10 reps will others may do better on two sets with 4-6 reps. Try it, see if it works but don't be surpised when your body can only do one quality set. |
