hi my boyfriend talks about doing steroids, and i really really don't want him to, just because of all the bad things i hear about them. can anyone please tell me the effects of the steroids? i know there are different kinds, he talks about using sustanon and deca (sp?) i'm scared he will lose his hair and have aggression all the time. our sex life isn't even so great now...will this make it worse??? anyone that can help, i would really appreciate it!! Besides Deca is one of the safest anabolic steroids around. You have nothing to worry about. One question though does he know what he's doing?  | ||

your sex life should be just about the same with this cycle. the two ingredients balance eachother out. A steroids aren't half as bad as you probably think they are. His bloodpressure might raise a little bit on this cycle but after it comes off he should be fine. these two steroids are two of the safest ones around. His liver and any other organs should not be affected by this. do you have any idea what his dosages are gonna be? you have any idea | ||

Hey there, I wouldnt worry about your b/f, the two types of roids he is talking about taking are nothing to worry about. His nuts will shrink up but with the sust he should be horny as hell all the time. As long as he isnt someone to fly off the handle all the time to begin with they wont affect his temper. I have done cycles of sust and deca and the only side effects I got was a little bit of acne on my shoulders. Nothing to worry about!! Just make sure he monitors his blood pressure. The most important thing you can do is be supportive because if he has made the decision to get on the sauce nothing will talk him out of it. Be supportive, maybe even help with his injections and he will always love ya!! Good luck.  | ||

I am going to start off by saying that this isn't even the area I should be in because I am a female, but I just wanted to see what the difference was between the male and female discussion board because I am so ignorant in the field of weight training. I am trying to become educated though. At first, I was upset in how you treated User's Girl, but then I thought that it was not my place to judge you guys, considering you were first more knowlegeable in this area, and second, you know the types of people that post topics. The only thing that I suggest to you User's Girl, is that maybe you should have gone to the women's discussion board and asked this question. The women on there know about this stuff and they could have probably told you the same things. That is why they do have separate discussion boards. I can say this because eventhough I am ignorant when it comes to training, I am not completely ignorant in the differences between men and women. I have found that they have given me a lot of help and support on the questions that I have on the women's discussion board. That is also why you don't see many posts from men on the women's discussion boards. And the ones on there, are asking about women in general. I hope that this reply is not taken badly by you guys, but I thought User's Girl would more likely see it here than on the women's discussion board. Have a great day. | ||

Man I'm sorry to see so little tolerance out there just last week I posted my first message about how much testosterone to take and I thought that this was the BEST message board I had been to. With people who were genuinely concerned about disproving all off the sterotypes that have long been associated with steroid use. User's girl or whatever my girlfriend also disagreed with my choice to use AS, but like most of the guys here said I have to comfortable with myself before anyone else's opinion matters, and I told her about what great feedback I had gotten from the guys here and it kind of set her mind at ease. You cannot make him do or not do anything what you can do is encourage him to research his decision so that he makes an educated one. | ||

Well User's girl, you already got all the answers by now. So i put in my thinking. If he wants to do roids, let him do it. Because if he has a strong will he will do it anyway. I don't know for the Sust, but the Deca will kill his dick, maybe he will survive thanks to the Sust (never used it). And no not everyone is a Testosterone freak. Deca is not one of the savest roids. Ever heard of gyno ? When you get this, it's for life unless surgery. He can loose some hair, not all in one cycle. His BP can you up real high, this depends on the person. He can get prostate problems. No, roids are not safe, but we all try to get around the sides. I am in shock with the way some people have handled this post. Fair enough user's girl may have been a fraud but until you know that for sure, from a number of posts, you should give her the benefit of the doubt. Some people over here must believe you are guilty until proven innocent. If my g/f came on here and was treated in that way I would be very f*cking annoyed. User's girl, firstly not all of the bros are as ignorant and would be happy to help you out. It is a shame that the few spoil it for the majority of us around here. However, this is a public forum so you can expect that. The sus should give an increase in your man's libido. Deca can cause temporary impotence, however it is in a minority of people and it is believed that the deca will counter-act this. I personally have had this twice from deca. It is one of the only steroids to cause this. His testes may shrink within a couple of weeks but should go back to normal after a few weeks of coming off. As long as your boyfriend researches sensibly on dosages, cycling etc. he should be fine. He should also look into ancillary drugs, to reduce the risk of associated side effects, such as hair loss, liver damage, gyno, acne etc. Side effects can be eliminated/controlled; if he experiences any at all. Tell him to get liver function and blood pressure checks with the doc if you are stll worried. As for agression, this all depends on the person. If he can control his agression already then he should be able to control it when on. If he cannot now, then it could get worse. Remember though, it is his decision and although you can influence it, he does have a mind of his own. If you don't like it then leave him, forcing someone to do something will only put stress on your relationship. My girlfriend is very supportive with me. I try to explain everything to her so that she knows I am doing everything as safely as possible. She knows how dedicated I am and helps me with everything. We have a strong relationship and can tell each other anything. You should be happy that he has talked to you about this. My training partner has been married for 15 years and still won't tell his wife a thing. Consequently, his relationship with her isn't all that stable. It can work fine if you both work with each other and help each other to make informed decisions. Hope I've been of some help, if you want any more give me a shout. | ||

User's Girl, this board USED to be the best board on the internet for making an informed decision. But it has become too accessible by too many children. Basically this has driven all of the older veterans to this lifestyle away from the board, or render us to just reading only....rarely making replies. The truth is, your boyfriend has made a very wise choice. If he follows the guidelines to their use, AS will improve every aspect of his life. He will be confident and have a better feeling of well-being, just to name a couple of benefits. To determine harm, if any, he should get periodic blood tests. Family history should also be a good indicator of potential side effects. If he has relatives who are bald or who have prostate trouble, he may need a preventative medication such as proscar/propecia. Ignore these children. Most have no experience and give advice for one. And two, it is bad advice 99% of the time. There are better places for info...the archives (search) is one, and there are other boards with many more knowledgable and helpful individuals that are harder to find....and would like to stay that way. Just take your time and look around. If you really love your boyfriend, you should have no problem spending the time to learn and make a well educated decision. | ||
