I was reading a post by one of our mods, who had a link at the bottom to his site. So I go to the site, and what do I see on the first page....a "Sources" link. Now, if anyone else did this they would be labeled a scammer and told to get off the board. Fairs Fair. I may get flammed for this but it had to be said I'm sure you guys know who the mod is.     | ||

WOW, no mods have replied to this, how surprising. This is bullshit and i think its needs to be removed like thermo said, you don't know whos here. The guys are good guys and i don't think their names should be openly posted, even if its a link, its tha same thing. This is just going to cause these guys and their customers allot of problems. I think I know of the website your talking about. That's his own personal site. It's not linked via elitefitness. That link has been there for as long as I can remember. Use your judgement and when in question email a mod for a source check! ------------------ | ||

I do agree that the link to the website isnt really appropriate and probably should be removed. In this person's defense, though, the sources he has listed are all well known and operate quite openly on other boards so I doubt that they would object to his advertisements. | ||

all of the guys he has actually listed are foreign sources, and one of them is as discreet as a cape buffalo charging through the brush. But for domestic sources you must email him and he has to have a good reference on you or know you himself. And seeing as he is a moderator with a reputation he must take care of, he wouldn't risk discrediting himself by advertising scammers. That's the reason boards don't just let anybody source post. | ||

Tronco and BPB: The reason there isn't source posting isn't to keep the sources safe and 'discreet', its to keep this board clean, and INFORMATIONAL. Go to anabolex (I frequent the place from time to time) and look at the topics, about 75% of them are source questions, scammer questions, and other bullshit. EVEN IF, YOU LET THIS GUY DO IT, YOU'LL HAVE TO LET THE ANYONE POST LINKS TO SOURCES, AND IT WILL OPEN UP A WHOLE NEW DOOR FOR SCAMMERS. PERSONALY, I GET A LITTLE PISSED WHEN I SEE ONE OF MY SOURCE'S POSTED. I LIKE TO KEEP THEM PRIVATE, SO THEY'LL BE THERE WHEN I NEED THEM. Oh Slo dont misunderstand I dont like that he has the link or the website...my point was that he isnt outing sources who dont alreadyt operate very openly. In fact I wish those sources would use more caution in how they operate there business becasue they are a potential detriment to us and themselves [not to mention the boards they operate all go to shit]. KingKong, no we wouldn't have to let anybody else do it, because most of us-there are exceptions like Slopain and others, don't come with the rep that mods and other vets do. Say I were to start linking my posts to such a website, well, who the fuck am I? Nobody really knows me, so I could be linking guys to my scamming friends, or I could be legit, no one would really know. But personally I don't think there's really anything wrong with linking your posts to your own website even if you do have source postings on your site. Just because this mod has links to sources, who obviously don't mind that he does, doesn't mean that we still don't have to do homework on a potential source. I'm currently involved with one of the sources who is listed on C's site, but I still contacted several people to check him out, that's the way it's done. I agree though,with keeping source posts off the actual forum,because it does clutter shit up, anyone remember that shithouse BigSport? | ||

BUMP for myself. It shouldn't matter if its a that says a source or not. I saw a post that said "Come to my site and see pics" The site had pics, and sources and the dude was labeled a scammer and post deleted. Just like this site didn't say "SOURCE HERE" but on the first bloody page is a link to sources written in huge letters. Very suttle. More mods opinions???????? | ||

I DONT CARE IF THE SOURCES ARE LEGIT OR NOT, I MEAN I HAVE HEARD OF MOST OF THE ONES HE HAS ON THERE AND KNOW THERE GOOD, BUT MOD'S SHOULD HAVE THE SAME RULES AS ANYONE ELSE. AND LIKE WHAT WAS JUST SAID, THE LAST GUY WHO PUT A LINK TO HIS SITE, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE A SOURCE WAS DELETED. ARE MODS ABOVE THE REST OF US, AND ALLOWED TO POST LINKS TO THERE SITES AND SELL STERIODS, AND THEN ALLOWED TO DELETE THE ANY COMPETION THAT COMES THROUGH. | ||

Also, for those of you who don't know, that site has been up since long before he became a mod. I know that doesn't change his current status and the respect and responsibility that it commands, but I am sure that there is no intention to create this type of controversy. I have to disagree with you guys.....just because there is a link to his site and on his site there are legitamate sources listed doesn't make him a scammer. He is a trusted brother and mod on this board...and by listing good sources, he is preventing people from getting scammed....why is that so bad? | ||

If I'm not mistaken, the last guy that linked to his site that had sources, those sources turned out to be known scammers, at least one of them was for sure. That's why the thread was deleted. If c was posting links to scammers, do you think he'd be allowed to keep doing it?,let alone be a moderator here?. If mods want to do it, let em, who cares, there's a reason why they were elected as moderators, because they're legit bro's. We can't say that for sure about the rest of us can we? If one of those sources on his site ever turned bad, he would have em off of there in a heartbeat, from everything I've heard the guy has a golden rep. So just leave alone allright, no more drawing attention to this, when you become a mod you'll have the same privileges ok. | ||

Well if you really wanted to handle this right and like a man I think you would email all the mod's and even the one in question But on his behalf that has been part of his sig for aslong as I can remember and the site is also very helpful just my .02 lets not air our dirty laundry in public let handle it like men and women ------------------ |
