Here is another little question for ya fellas: I was wondering whether or not to use MCT oil (medium chain triglycerides) as part of my bulking diet instead of stuffing my face with potatoes, rice and pasta - I am not able to eat a proper meal 6 or 7 times /day like most of you recomend... have any of you ever used MCTs as a significant part of your food intake?

I'd forget about MCTs. You'd do better using flax and olive oil. MCTs are expensive and they tend to make one ill. Eating more fat is a good way to get more calories. I'd suggest a 40%carb, 30%pro, 30%fat as a good starting point.

I've found MCT to be good to use when you are seriously depleting carbs for a show or shoot as an energy source. You get really waery when you cut carbs and the MCT actually gives you a boost. I would not use it as part of any regular diet plus it tastes like shit. |
