I'm doing it, and just don't know what to expect. It seems to be pretty hard to keep myself away from the gym. I'm feeling as if I'm losing precious time by not training as much as I used to( 4-5 days /week). So, any success stories, guys? ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

HIT, in my opinion, will give most people the best gains of their life. I have the same problem as you however, and like to work out 3-4 times a week, although 2 would be the best! Ive done it for a short period of time, and loved it! ![]() ![]() ![]()

IVE JUST STARTED I EITHER GO TO THE GYM ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK AND I ALREADY SEE A DIFFERENCE IN MUSCLE GAIN AND FULLNESS. ILL ADMIT I FEEL LIKE I AM NOT WORK OUT HARD AT ALL BECAUSE OF THE ONE OR TWO SETS I DO AND THE SHORTNESS OF THE WORK OUT BUT IT SURE WORKS AND IS THE BEST WAY TO GET A FULL BODY WORK OUT. ALSO IT GIVES ME TIME TO DO CARDIO AFTER MY WORK OUT. I ALSO HAVE INCREASED IN STRENGTH FROM EVERY WORKOUT! BE SURE TO TRAIN HARD ![]() ![]() ![]()

Chuckles just about sums it up. I think if your on "the sauce" your body may be able to tolerate and recover better. I personally do not and never will use the "sauce" so HIT is perfect for naturals. At first going only 2 days a week , using only 1 or 2 sets I felt like I wasnt doing enough, until I learned to truly train to failure. Now the 2 days I spend in the GYM I just barely keep from throwing up and passing out. I beat the living shit out of myself 2 days a week and spend the rest opf the time growing and recovering. I try to keep my intensity so high that I dont want to return to the gym for 3 or 4 days, thats the key. Learning how to get the job done in 2 days. The rest of the time go out and live life. Getting a girl or sumthin!@@@@ Mike ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

HIT stands for "high intensity training". Mentzer was a big advocate of it and wrote two books on it (Heavy Duty 1 and 2). The basic premise is that most people overtrain their bodies and don't give it a chance to recover fully. HIT believes is 1-2 sets per body part, done to complete failure between 6-10 reps. Once you can do ~10 reps, up the weight until you're down to 6 reps again. Also only work out 3 times a week, each body part once/week. Basically "more is not better" is the belief behind HIT. I made very good (natural) gains off it for about 6 month, but have since then switched back to high volume. I may go back to HIT again to give my body a break. HIT may not be necessary when on juice, cause of increased recoverability. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

HIT works wonders for me, I love it!!! I believe it's not how many sets you do, but what you put into the sets that you do. 3 days a week, even while on. I would love to be there more but it is counterproductive for me. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
