God you think laredo is bad, untill you get to nueva laredo. I wouldn't go there if you dont know what the fuck your doing. I came from Ct my first time and was harrassed. Hope you can speak spanish, o yeah and dont forget the title to your car. Need a permit to drive in that shithole. Whatever you do dont buy your shit in nueva laredo. Some of the worse prices in all of Mexico. Drive about 20 miles and youll find some of the best prices in Mexico, a strict contrast. O yeah on your way out be careful theres two border crossings. The second one is kind of a joke. The best thing to do though, that i do all the time now is bring someone who is fluent in spanish. I would say its essential in dealing with the border assholes. About a mile inland from the international border footbridge there's a small park - a square with a gazebo in the middle, surrounded by shops, pharmacies, and doctors offices. You'll notice a lot of Mexican men of various ages sitting around watching the crowd. If you stand around long enough one of them will offer to take you anywhere and get anything - "boys, girls, pharmacia?". They take you to a doctor just off the square and he'll either write you a script to take to the pharmacy or he'll send one of his lackys to get it for you and the whole deal is done in his office. I'm not saying this is the best or cheapest way to buy gear there. But it's how I got my last there. I know I didn't get very good prices. Too many middle men taking profits. | ||
