I'm a powerlifter that wants to try bodybuilding in a local small time body building show. I'm just not certain if I have enough mass to step on the stage without being laughed at. I'm 5'10" 195 lbs. have 17" guns and 28"quads. For those of you who have done small contests is this enough mass to bother entering. I'm not concerned about winning, I just want to compete and look respectable on stage.

sounds like you could be competitive at that level. ya gotta take into consideration your bodyfat etc. too. when you lose your bodyfat where will you be at? lots of factors. you are the only one who can really answer if you are ready.

go to some local shows first and look at the competition. if you find yourself believing you are better, go for it.

Local competitions that I have seen were generally won by those with decent mass, but a low BF% as someone else said....

Legs sound good, and are always impressive....and arms that are hard and defined at 17 inches look a hell of a lot bigger with a tan, oil, and good lights....

Get some veins, and you'll do very well Bro....

Best of luck to ya!!!!!!

Don't forget that you will be competing with guys in your same weight class. May the most shredded one win.

those numbers sound goo enough for a local show - heck, have some fun with it. Diet down and make that routine pop!
