It's just too dam cold for me.Even though I live in Chicago,and it gets cold here,I don't think I could stand 25-35 below air temps. on a daily basis in the winter. Good fishing in Manitoba in the FlinFlon/The Pas region.Funny though,how the sun sets @ 1 a.m. in the summer,and rises again @ 4 a.m. ------------------     | ||

I am canadian and the coldest it's ever got around here in the 21 years i have lived here is -10, and it was only that cold once. Its a big generalization to say that all of canada is a big freezer, it snows here maybe three times a year and that snow rarely stays for more then a week or two. I have no doubt that chicago gets much colder then it does in my neck of the woods. | ||

scrumpy, where abouts on the island are u from. I lived in BC for a year and went to the islands for a week once, they have to be the most beautiful place on earth, i especially remember a lookout about 15 minutes out of Tofino (telegraph lookout?), it looked like something out of Jurassic park, amazing country. | ||

vancouver is one of the better provinces in canada.... pretty good summers... not too bad winters....it's only got down to -5 here... and will go only to -8 at the most this week, better that Whitehorse : -35 !!! aky ------------------ | ||

Vancouver Island is'nt a province, Vancouver is'nt on Vancouver Island. Vancouver is a big city on the mainland, vancouver island is a big island about 400 km long with the capital of British Columbia on it (the capital is Victoria). Jeez i can't believe all the b.s. you guys are writing, oh well who cares. Barney i know where your talking about, i think the west coast of vancouver island is among the most beautiful spots on the face of the planet. i live in naniamo most of the year though. | ||

I'm about 1/2 hour outside Toronto. It's bvenn snowing like fukin crazy for the past 10-12 hours....There's like a foot and a half of new snow just from today. Can't go anywhere. I'm gonna have to get my work out shovelling the fukin drive!! ------------------ | ||

Yeah same here, -I'm American, but work in Mississauga- The white shit has been comin'down like it's outta style!!! I went to the gym hoping that no one was there...well NO ONE WAS THERE the fuckin' place was closed !!!! Fuckin' panzies !!! That's one thing I have to be glad for.My gym NEVER closes.It's open every day of the year,even holidays,but shortened hours. I already decided I'm not going in to work tomorrow.All my bro's are staying home and hitting the gym early afternoon.16 inches was the total snowfall we got in my neck of the woods today. I don't mind the snow,it's that damn cold and wind that bites you in the ass that I hate.Today were the worst driving conditions I've ever seen. These people were totally caught off guard.When I went to bed last night,they were saying 8 inches.My streets look they never even saw a plow. Although my driveway was plowed tonight by the crew,the idiot cops were riding down the street with their lights on,yelling over the loudspeaker,to move your car out of the street,or it will be ticketed and towed. ------------------ | ||

Well bros, as you know Toronto is not that bad weather wise, definitely better than Buffalo, but tonight is really bad. My new car is getting covered in snow, because I live downtown and street parking is all I got. True though, the gym and grocery store were deserted. Good for a change. Luckily it's only 2 more weeks til the holiday in Fla.! While I have your attention, I would also like to ask anyone who has ever been to ttokkyo to email me. I just want to exchange notes. Damn. You bros are in the snow land cuddling up. That could be quite fun sometimes if you don't really have to go out. Me, I lived my ass always in California. The worse it gets here is rain, which comes only in jan-feb here. I never even snow fall in my fucking life man. It's nice here during the day. Around noon, blue sky, nice breeze, sunshine. It'd be hard to live in the below degrees areas. Over here, at night in the winter it gets maybe 40 above 0. Pretty cool for me. | ||
