Any ideas on how to help this out? Lately while doing ATG Squats my friggen lower back gets so pumped that I can not even stand up straight. It takes about an hour to go down, it hurts pretty bad. I am using good form, not really bringing the lower back too much into it, I've been doing this a while. I am ON so I know this is juice related, I'm not really holding a lot of water ond it's only almost 3 weeks into a SUS/Deca cycle. Any ideas Bro's? ------------------

I have the same problem when i'm doing heavy squats and heavy deads, but since the pain goes away after an hour I don't mind it.

i think the new found strength from the AS allows you to go heavy for more reps and in the process the smaller lower back muscles are subject to more stress than they are used to. they are playing catch-up,and as a smaller "muscle group" more likely to be overtrained.my guess

My friend has the same problem...he thought he was the only one with this problem...and I think I will agree with what anabolic said about the lower back being over trained... ------------------

This topic has come up only a couple times and I think we have a few good answers to it. I and another friend have had the intense lower back pain. One reason given is that the extra water retention overhydrates the lower discs causing pain and extra pressure. Some people have taken a mild diuretic from the drug store and had success with alleviating the pain. I have done 2 cycles with DBOL, I retained too much water and I couldn't even do any leg exercises because my back hurt so bad. Even walking hurt too much. My present cycle I am doing sust/deca and purposely left out the dbols. I take a mild diuretic every other night to flush out extra water and I have had no back pain whatsoever. This is my third cycle I have ever done and it is the first one cycle where I can finally do squats and deadlifts. My friend told me his back was killing (he was on Dbol's with sust) I told him to get a diuretic and presto his back doesn't bother him at all anymore during or after workouts. My gut can get really bloated and over night I can really shrink it down by using this. I don't overdo it though. Hope this helps some of you.

What type of OTC diuretic would you recommend to use?? Also what about taking a Novladex EOD??? That should draw some of the water out of the system...

Most of the OTC diuretics at the drug store are marketed to woman during PMS. The main ingredient in one I have seen is Pamabrom. Some of them contain caffeine. I go with the caffeine free since I take it at night with 2 glasses of water. I just bought one called Back-Aid, it has Pamabrom and 1000mg of acetamenaphen (Tylenol) to help releive pain. This one seems to work pretty well too. I imagine that using Nolvadex would help also since it helps with the estrogen related water retention. I will probably add Nolva towards the end of my cycle if the water starts to become a problem. So far so good. It was about a month ago when we had a thread like this, I can't remember who mentioned taking the diuretic but it has so far helped myself and a buddy.

as far as OTC diuretics, one of my friends has had great results using taraxatone. he says that it rips all the water out of his body after a cycle. ------------------

Amp, how do you take the diuretic and sleep...don't you have to keep getting up to piss?

Here is an easy remedy... After every set of squats do a set of standing "crunches" with the lat machine or cable crossover. I put crunches in parentheses because it should be with a full range of motion. Bend over as far as you can. I get the really bad pumps in my back too, and this helps me. powerlifter

I do piss quite a bit all night. I take an extra protein drink in the middle of the night though. You can take it during the day though.

Probably most likely to all the weight you put on during your cycle. Your poor lower back isn't used to lugging around all that extra weight upstairs all day long. Then you go to the gym and lift more weight and put more stress on your lower back. I get the same thing also. Maybe best to get rid of some of the water weight as was previously mentioned. Before your next cycle of creatine ;-) strap on a 15 lb backpack and carry it around all day - see what I mean. Your form during squats may also have to be worked on but probably more likely due to extra weight all day long stressing lower back. I have also heard that jabbing your ass will cause the lower back muscles to tense up and cause problems - but I'm not too sure on that one.

I'm still not done with week 3 I'm only up 12 lbs, I am not holding that much water. I am already 265 so 12 lbs is not that big of a deal. If I get another 20lbs (it could happen I have 5 more weeks to go) I am going to be a cripple. I am going to start the novadex anyway to see if that helps. It hurts so bad I can hardly keep training, thats why I am concerned otherwise I would not give a shit. Thanks for the input Bro's

I had bad back pain on my last run. I was relieving some of it with stretching, but it really brought down my leg days. I am entering week 2 of my second run, and I just might have to get one of these diuretics and give it a shot. The pain was like a constant lactic acid burn in the erectors...and it really sucked! |
