This is not a flame and I am not bitching, it is simply an observation. Whether the topic as been plowed into the ground or not newbie post often go unanswered, most likely because of the simple fact that we are new and what not but nevertheless, some newbie post or "strings" that they try to start often fade into oblivion. Most post on here get bumped and replied to based on who started them because you have respect for these people because they have been on here for so long, which is understandable. But can't us "newbies" get some love man, shit you don't how much knowledge some of these newbies might have and you could easily turn people off because they aren't familiar with your culture yet. Much respect.

Well if they had so much knowledge they would not ask moron question that can easily be answered by doing a search..In fact I have not in recent memory come across ANY questions that could not be answered by doing a search.

I lurked and learned on this board for 6 months or so before I even registered.

The problem with alot of new people is they bring NOTHING to the table so to speak. They log on post a easily answered by research question then leave never to post again. And somehow think people on this board owe it to them to answer.

If your new and want my advice ask an educated question and post what you think the answer should be.Or show at least that give a fuck enough to aleast do a little research.

That good shit IG, I feel where you are coming from. I guess it takes time to weed out who is real and fake. Just like that guy who comes into the gym for a week and then is never there again until the day after new years or all those partners we've had who don't ever seem to last!

Seberian, I know hwo you feel I asked a lot of questions and was refered to the search engine. The more I used "search" the more helpful it was. These guys that have been on the board a long time have answered the same questions over and over again. You will learn how different the brothers feel about each subject. Try and pick some bros who you agree with there opions and ask them specific questions. The general questions have just been played out and you'll have to use the search engine to look them up. Anyway be patient, there is a lot of info on this board and believe it or not everyone here is willing to help. But stick around and you'll see what they mean about the same newbie questions. The may not be new to you but get intimate with the search engine.

This is probally the most response you got so far, another step forward. LOL!!!!

I defintely see your point Siberian, which you described it very well!! Also i see the other side, like someone else said, i think the "General" questions are the ones that get flamed, or not answered mostly. This is a good board, if you have general ques. than you should do a search. Take it easy bro!!

Newt, lol, this is the most response I have gotten. Yeah, thats the thing, I totally understand where they are coming from, its kind of like the same shit you get day in and day out in the gym, "what do you eat, how do you train, blah, blah." But I still try to be patient with the ones I know aren't even gonna stick with it. I don't know, guess I was just getting frustrated with no responses, thats the only bad thing about the net, its even harder to tell who is for real and who is not.

I too looked around on this board (and others) before I signed on...I do know where you are coming from Siberian -- sometimes I am hesitant to ask a question in fear of getting flamed. But on the other hand, that has made me use the search more and by doing so I have educated myself....

I think that us "newbies" in general are so pumped up at the fact that we have such a great source for obtaining information that we immediately want to ask the vets our questions without thinking of searching. Also, being new to the board we do not always know what specific questions people have asked in the past, so we ask and get flamed. Or, if we have a question and do a search, it may be phrased differently than what we are looking for. Then we think we still don't have the answer, even though we do(did that make sense?)

Bottom line...Us newbies can use a little more common sense and use some patients while looking up info and vets can use a little more patients with us newbies. Remember most of you vets were like us at one time -- you wanted to gain all the info you could when you first started.

Siberian, just look at some of the "newbie" posts in here right now----"when do I need to start clomid?", "where am I suppossed to inject?" & stuff like this pops up over & over constantly. I've never flamed any of them & often try to help answer some of their questions (it makes me feel smart), but I'm sure you can understand why alot of the guys don't. BTW, you seem like a very intelligent & experienced newbie & its glad to have you aboard---hows that for "giv'n love"? ; 0

In defense for the vets, I must say that in the few questions that I have asked I have received nothing but great info. They have all made me feel comfortable in asking any "worth-while" question...Thanks Bros

Ask away Bro...I try to answer as many as I can...it's hard, and yes....Newbies must pay their dues, sorta an initiation process I guess...BUT, Hang in there...they will get answered, if not...wait a day or two, then repost the question again....simple Bro...

If ya catch a little flame, look at what you asked, and what you could've done differently...if it's nothing more than a personal attack...e-mail a Mod...

I started posting in February 2000. I was reading for a couple of months before that. The board was smaller then it seemed, and the arrival of newbies less frequent.

Now it seems that 5 new names a day is normal. At least 2 of the newest newbies will ask a question that requires minimal research to answer, ask a question that has already been asked (and answered) in another post, give wrong answers to questions, flame a brother for asking a legitimate question, or just make a general jackass out of themselves. When they get flamed so much they can't show themselves on Elite any more, they disappear. The next day there are 5 new names. It's hard to help but wonder how many of the newest newbies are the ones that got flamed out, with new names.

Reasonless flaming and rudeness have been on an upswing over the past year it seems, but there is still a general attitude of respect here for one another.

Newbies (and everyone else) need to make sure they ask questions worth answering, and ask after they have learned what they can without asking. If after that they still get flamed and put down, let me know. Even newbies share in my unconditional love for all God's creatures! ;-)

Peace!

Siberian,
I was an active "lurker" for about 8 months before I posted my first question (on 12/6/2000), which I feel has not have received enough responses (JUST KIDDING). Post your question and just relax, sooner or later someone will get to it. The internet has a wealth of information available "at your fingertips" (pun intended), so just keep researching and your answers will come in due time. By the way, welcome to the board.
PEACE

i feel that maybe it does get annoying to answer the smae questions over and over but we are all here to help each other out. We all have a common interest and common goals. I love this board personally and i think its great to discuss AS with you guys. we all have to remember that we are all newbie in the beginning and i rather help a dude out and answer a question that has been as many times than have somebody do something stupid and hurt themselves permanently. just my 2 cents

Lets all take a deep breath and exhale slowly. . .we were all newbie's once, both on this board and in the AS game. There are no stupid questions, just stupid people who don't know how to buy a fucking book (Anabolics 2000, Steriod Bible, just to name a few), don't know how to do a search (just hit search at the top and type in your subject), or ask an appropriate question that a bro can help you with. I have no problem assisting new bro's, either to the board or the game, as there are plenty of bro's here with more experience than me that I call on for assistance, the bottom line is you have to come correct, asking valid questions in a reasonable manner that can be answered.
.
.
A for instance of what not to ask, cause I see it 5x a week. . .I am going to try a sus/dbol/deca 8 week cycle. This is my first cycle, what gains should I expect? What sides? What will this cost? How do I get them? Does a customs letter mean I am going to jail? Will a source take half the money now half later? . . .Peace, just needed to vent a bit. . .Good nite.
