it is telling me that they missed me when they were droping off my package. ( dont know if it was gear or not ). i have never had to sign!! NOW i got mail today and a small card came telling me to go pick up my package... should i do it?? think they are setting me up? BTW, i had a package get snagged a while back about a 1.5 months ago.... when i pick it up, i'm pretty sure i have to sign for it!! help me out once again guys... -MIKE-     | ||

If you know for a FACT that you are NOT supposed to sign for this particular parcel, then for God's sake DON'T!! Find out from your source first if they may have accidently not waived the sig. If you are using the same addy as when you had the package snagged before(which I hope you are smart enough not to do)then I would say that something is 100% up if the sig was waived! | ||

It could maybe be just too big for your mail box. Did it say why you had to pick it up? I've signed plenty of times for packages that shouldn't have needed a signature. | ||

I will be speaking hyperthetically(sp) here. I placed 2 orders from overseas, and both times, I was not home, so i needed to go pick up the package. And yes, they had a little card, telling me to go pick up the package. I went, and i didnt' have to sign for anything. So go pick it up, i'm pretty sure you wont' have to sign for it. But check with your source to see if he resent your package or what. If you werent' expecting anything,and he didn't send anything, then it might not even be A.S. | ||

Go pick up your parcel. Things will be fine. It is more likely you would receive a notice saying you have contraband and to contact the customs office or FBI rather than pick up your package. Its normal and I always sign to reassure my person I, and only I have received it. Just because you sign does not mean you are admitting guily or taking resonsibility for the contents. By opening it and having contraband(depending on where you reside)and keeping the contraband that is where the risk increases. In the future, determine when your package will arrive, at least to the day it will be delivered, leave a note on your door asking the delivery person to sign for it if necessary as well as leave the package in the house and that you left the door unlocked. If you do this, and your package is inside your home, write return to sender and leave the package out for a few days. NEVER, and I mean NEVER, leave GEAR in your car. If you do and are pulled over, do not, I repeat, DO NOT CONSENT to having your car searched!!! And becareful, the authorities may say something very harmless like, "Have anything illegal in your car or on you?" Your reply,"No." The officer, "Mind if I check?" DON'T CONSENT! I to agree the signing has been blown out of proportion. For me, I require ID to pick up my funds and I always ask and send priority mail with delivery conformation. I had a note about picking up a package. I went to the post office and signed for it. It turned out to be a fronted shipment!! The idiot sent it and on the Custom Declaration he actually wrote "Omnadren!!!!" I signed for it and nothing happened. I agree with Dex that this whole signing bullshit is blown way out of proportion! | ||

Everyone has valid points. This really is your call. However, if you do decide to pick it up, first wait for at least a few days. In fact, I'd wait until the last day or so before they will return to sender. Then casually stroll into the post office...preferably when it's dead so you can scope out the parking lot...loooking for american "government" type cars. Give the guy your slip, he should return within a minute or two max...any longer than that, and I would bail out of there. And if the package looks like its been opened, for God sakes...refuse it. Keep in mind, if you ordered a small personal quantity, I highly doubt the feds would waste their time. Hope that helps | ||

why don't you look at the slip and figure out the reason why you have to pick it up. if it was too big for your mail box, then go pick it up. if they want you to sign for it, there is a box that will be marked on the slip, reads: signature required. or, you can always just go down there, show them the slip, see what it is, where from, and if they want a signature. if it is from your source, tell them you have no idea who the sender is, and don't feel comfortable signing, and cut your loss. signing your name, considering you use your own name, is an admission of guilt. | ||

I PICKED SOMETHING UP YESTERDAY AND SIGNED FOR IT. IF THE LOCAL YOCALS ARE THEIR AS USUAL THEN I SAY FUCK IT WHY NOT. SIGNING IS NOT ADMISSION TO GUILT JUST SAYING THAT THE PACKAGE WAS SENT TO YOU. Dahmer, that was funny as hell! I know a guy who receeived a package on Omnadren, only on the package the sender had clearly written "HEALTH PRODUCTS"! He he. No problems, by the way. and BigJay and others (except the guy who suggested prision -- must have been a joke -- I agree). IM Posting this for mike001 cause his aol is messed up.... it says large envelope... and yes it was over seas. but strange, i havent ordred anything within the past month and i wasnt expecting anything and about a month ago my package was snagged for the first time. stupid me used the same mail addy, which the sender said i would have no problem. now this, BUT, hell i'll just go pick the damn thing up huh | ||

OKAY, I JUST GOT BACK...AND MY AOL IS WORKING BETTER. NOW, THEY TOLD ME THEY ARE GOING TO RE-SEND IT TODAY. I E-MAILED MY FRIEND AND HE SAID HE RE-SHIPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HE SAID SIGN AND DONT WORRY. BAD THING IS, I AM NOT ON ANYMORE BECAUSE THE LAST ONE GOT SNAGGED AND I RAN OUT, ALSO MY LIVER ENZIMES ARE FUCKED UP ALONG WITH A HIGH HEART-RATE. SO... WHAT SHOULD I DO.
