Anyone have any research/experience with presecription vasodilators such as: Trimethazidine, Pertoxyphyllin, Pribedil, Bencyclane,Betahistine, or even Nitro Just wondering if they would work well the last week of a show to really bring out those veins? What about a product to make more blood to fill out the veins better, such as EPO, but something that actually works. (for veins that is) If they work well they would also be great for nutrient repartitioning, unfortunately the side effects of the meds would probably be counter productive? Just looking for some feedback for an oral vasodilator. I have tried hotstuff but doesn't work, My body temp is always REALLY high so it doesn't work that well. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hmmm, I never really thought about this so I might not be right on the money. There is much more smooth muscle in arteries and arterioles than veins, on account that the arteries deal with higher pressure. Using vasodilators will probably loosen these up more than the veins, decreasing the amount of blood in the veins and decreasing vascularity. EPO works ok, but you are aware of the sides. Gear is effective and safer for increasing hematocrit. Blood doping, the technique used by endurance athletes, would probably work: withdraw blood into a blood bag with an anticlotting agent (I forget which one they use) and freeze it. Push it back in come time to compete. That'll increase your blood volume and vascularity sure, might help your pumps too. Hope it helps. Peace! ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

BUMP...I can't ever seem to get "veiny" even at ow bodyfat %'s for shows...I look for any edge I can get... ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I compete at 3-5% rock hard and I am never very vascular unless I pose/train with the valsalva maneuver (Holding breath and turning red), the veins jump out. But as soon as I resume breathing the all go away. I don't want freaky vascularity so it hides the striations just a little more than I got. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm interested so I'll give this a bump! ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Wouldn't increasing the size of the arterioles and arteries decrease arterial blood pressure increasing flow volume making the veins have higher pressure? That might be a bit of a stretch (punny!) since the heart would have to let the flow increase. How does the heart decide on how much blood to pump(the feedback mechanism)?
