I don't know if there are any others, but I do know Birth Control Pills will cause Pre-mature closure of the epiphyses plates.

I think Dr.'s should tell young females this when they come to them seeking birth control, but I don't know of any who have. My doctor casually mentioned it to me after I had taken them for 5 years. I'm 5'9" but can't help but think I could be taller, lol.

For all you taking Accutain, it does cause premature growth plate closure. My doc downplayed this, but it happened and I stopped growing (in height) at 15. Being 5'5" has made me a better lifter though, I guess.

I've heard this too. I wonder how well researched it is, since usually doing AS studies with human children would be frowned upon. Another fine question is, why do you ask? ;-)

Oxandrolone doesn't close the growth plates in growing children. They give it to girls with turner syndrome, in combination with GH.

There is no other AS that can keep the plates from closing. Originally, they thought that Nilevar didn't, but in a lab test, they accidently fused the plates of all of the children involved in the experiment. Sucks for them.

As jhater194 has said Oxandrolone is used around the world to treat Turners Syndrome. This is a condition that keeps little girls from growing. Patients as young as 9 take it. It is also used by Jerry's Kids. It is the only steroid approved by FDA for use in treating children. What more do you want?
