Depends on what it is. Some immdediately, some two weeks or longer depending on the ester. I'm sure about deca

in my experience, at least with deca and test, week #3 is the "oh my God where the fuck did that come from?!?" point in the cycle.

quote: Thats misleading. The longer acting esters in sust sit at the injection sight while slowly breaking down over the course of a couple weeks(or longer). The Prop in the sust is active in your blood within the hour

This topic is poorly understood by many, simply because the end result (weight gain, strength, etc.) are correlated with activity or entry into the blood stream. Steroidal activity is a slow process, it requires DNA transcription, RNA translation, protein production, enzymatic regulation, etc. It is not rapid like ephedrine or clenbuterol's effects. When a oil based steroid is injected it immediately begins entering the bloodstream and gradually the concentration rises until it peaks. The peak is where drug is entering the bloodstream and being removed (entering tissues, metabolized into other compounds and excreted) at an equal rate. After a period of time the drug level in the blood begins to drop...this is when drug excretion is greater than drug entering the blood (oil depot is essentially being depleted of drug). This whole process is governed by the chemical characteristics of the drug and most commonly by the ester. So esters like propionate peak in the bloodstream quickly, but exit it rapidly also, whereas esters like decanoate slowly peak and slowly exit, BUT they all begin entering the bloodstream immediately.
