Anyone had this problem with there siatic nerve, In the morning when i get up, I almost fall out of bed, then during the day it hurts to sit for any period of time, so then i have to stand up and walk around for a min, this is really messing up my workout i cant do any workout that involves legs, does anyone have any suggestions? going to the doc to see if it is serious or just a pissed of muscle squeezing the nerve all to hell, Ibuprofin seems to lessen the pain, but my walking stride has decreased because of the pain, now i have a small limp. whatta ya bro's think? docs appt is on monday.. thanks

I'm far from a doctor, but here's my ignorant opinion bro.
Ive had a shitload of back problems, and this kind of sounds like a nerve tweak(nothing bad). How long have you had it? Did something cause it? Not enough info to go on, thats probably why no ones answering

the pain has been there for roughly 3 1/2 weeks, and i have tried to figure out what the hell i did to agrivate this the only thing i can figure is starting a new job ( big stress) and moving to a new state, me and my wife were the only ones who moved all the stuff in, but didnt hurt right after the move in took almost 2 months for the pain to begin, the only thing i can think of is i have slowly been agrivating it over time and it finally got pissed at me and let me know i was neglecting it, and i had stopped going to the gym for 2 weeks around that time, getting things ready to move and all, my body might not have been ready for it all

Shit bro, Ive got no idea then. If its been that long, just get an MRI done and deal with whatever it is right away. Back problems suck

Has your job activity changed? Have you gone from more on your feet to more at a desk? I have psciatic nerve pain and a compressed L3/L4 vertabrae. Extended time sitting bent over a desk or computer get to me unless I seriously slouch. Watch the hip sled/leg press machine. Smith squats could be better.
Just my experience.

You better have someone look at it. Three
weeks is not normal and that is a sign
that there is a problem.

Once I had my nerve pinch from sore injections and a leg workout right after.
Then as I was walking the nerve just pinched
and I couldn't move my leg. After a couple
of minutes of rest the pain went away and it
was sensitive for a a couple of days after.

If it doesn't get better then someone needs to look at it.

What Marky said. I had back pain off and on for a year.It was worse when I first got up. I couldn't lean over without my knees buckling. The hack sqat and HEAVY bent rows were the problem.I stopped those and problem went away. Good luck bro

Hey bro, it is time for an MRI. See that doc fast. I had pretty much the same type of pain and it was discovered I had ruptured three discs. Had to have surgery. If they would have caught it sooner they said I might not have had to had the surgery done. I waited 3 months before I got that MRI. Bad mistake. Training has been thrown way off. Lost about 20 lbs. of hard earned muscle. Told never to squat or deadlift again. My point being is do not hesitate see a doc asap.

Been through it twice, Usually down for two months. I would definitely get an MRI done. Problem could be a herniated disk, which is what I have.

Well I had a simular problem for 17 years and when I had a hip replacement due to Godfather's Pizza (a driver rearended my ninja 600 totaled the bike) I do recommend no one go to Godfather's, period.

Back to the sciatic nerve problem, when I recovered it turned out that I had a deep hip socket and my hip occassionally pinced the nerve and that is what caused it.

Have your Dr. check your back first and if nothing comes up, xray your hips and see if you have the deep hip socket problem.

Good luck.

A tight piriformis muscle is one of the prime causes of sciatic pain. If you have decent insurance get a scrip for physical therapy. Even the most stupid and fat of PTs can treat that, or if not tell me who they are and I'll rub em out (LOL, joking). Peace!
