Surely, this was not a situation like my thread "Eulogy to a Fallen Bro." That is, it was not dispatched unduly to the archives. If in the 0.001% chace that it was, then this board needs some SERIOUS maintenance.

I think it was deleted by a mod. And it wouldn't surprise me who deleted it, given my email to him and the other (supportive) mods.

I guess I'm just not "politically correct" on this "Most Controversial Board on the Internet."

E2's claims are, in my opinion, hypocritcal, and I have proof. Besides, it doesn't matter.

I just don't export AK-47 Kalashnikovs or 7.76 mm Makarovs anymore. Too risky. And the squad automatic rifles and grenades, forget it.

Surprisingly to me, there is a big market for this stuff. That is, light infantry weapons (I would never deal with a terrorist organization, ever).

<sigh> But Interpol frowns upon this, unlike more benign stuff like our favorite topic.

What has been sort of strange is that I've gotten "Newbie" posts of this sort: "Hey bro, what is the cyclic rate of fire of a Kalashnikov?" or "What is the maximum effective killing distance of a Mark 40 grenade?" That kind of stuff -- which I have ignored, because I deal only with serious players. Only. Take that anyway you want it.

Frankly, I think it should be incorporated into a more general "Newbie" post.

Geez. I've thought about it. I don't know what to edit in my previous posts...

I've exported small infantry weapons, and the people with whom I've worked are simply untouchable, even by Interpol. Me included (knock on wood.)

Fuck the "conflict of interest" debate. There is more intrigue and conflict of interest among mods here than most people would imagine.

Maybe my "import/export" post should have been deleted, for delicate and conservative reasons (on "The Most Controversial Board on the Internet"), but not the thread, certainly.

With me, I don't even consider a "conflict of interest." I know the good bro's, and they are my friends. And there is no issue of "competition," as some people might think.

Please permit me to add some comments to your excellent post.

Yakuza, you might be right. But if you would have seen the hypocritical message I received from one of the mods I emailed (he'll probably delete this post if not the entire thread), and the substantive information I received from others regarding him, you would have been pissed off, too.

That message was simply benign in my opinion. I live in Moscow; there is no need to make a threat. I've seen it all.

With every other mod I emailed, I got a message off support (thank you especially Ranger, 2Thick, WCP and BIZ) -- even from el cubano, who likened my politiking to that of the Bush/Gore situation.

So simple. Really. And as I post this message, most of you brothers and sisters are asleep.

I visit several boards, also, and on three I am a mod. But after dealing with all this shit and indecision, Anabolex is looking better and better. I know some mods there, and there is a A LOT of good traffic on Anabolex -- on which I practically never post, out of, I suppose, loyalty to EF.

But loyalty is a two-way street.

Dexter would make a great mod here at EF. And Im warming up to bigjay rather quickly. I don't know bigjay but have seen him on other boards and used to think he spent too much time venting. But hey, what do I know? He has come forward and make some serious changes from the Old BJ I used to read. I vote for BigJay as well.

Now, as for Mr.Detroit, whereabouts? I grew up in the CassCorridor.
