I don't know if anyone else has found that most oil based gear, when tasted, have a bitter taste to them wheras all fakes I've ever encountered have no such bitter taste (probably due to low/no active ingredient!). Dunno if anyone else has found this.... to be honest I've only ever had a couple of fakes in my possesion (Deca/Sust... ). ------------------     | ||

Julez. This is a interesting post. I now taste all my gear, every time I shoot, if there is the tiniest drible left in the amp etc, I taste it, it is just so that when I get more juice from a different batch I will know it real. I have only had 4 fake amps since I started juicing, and unfortunatley I didnt get to the stage of tasting, just took them back to the guy, and got replacements. The real stuff is bitter to taste, and sets the whole tongue tingling with test anyway. once you taste it for a few times you will know it every time. ------------------ | ||

True, tastes bitter and should dull you taste for a few seconds. You can tell when there is an active ingredient or not. ------------------ |
