this board already has 17 mods. not trying to take anything away from bigjay or anything but the only thing that will change you guys waking up to 30 bullshit/source posts is a mod or two in another timezone...dexter would be a good choice- last i heard the fucker was unemployed and has a broken hip or somehting....this board is his world. | ||

This board isn't exactly my life (in fact, after BigJay's post I'm starting to wonder), but I've enjoyed it. And when I'm not taking my former company to court for the $50,000 in back salary they owe me, well, I manage to keep sort of busy, in the "import/export biz." I agree with the losing the attitude post....but I do think we have enough mods here already....if you make Bigjay a mod you should make us all mods...and that would be chaos! I agree with cool hand look. Dexter would be able to monitor the board at night while other mods are asleep. On another note I have gotten to know Dexter, and I know that he would do an excellent job helping the board. He is an honest, trustworthy stand up guy. My vote goes for Dexter. | ||

I vote for Dexter...he is a well repected member of this board and if he's willing, I see no reason not to have him as a night mod...most of Bigjays past posts have been bashing and counterproductive....you have gotten better though Bigjay, I will give you that! | ||

Well, thank you bro's for your vote of confidence. I really like this board. And while I like and have nothing against BigJay at all, I respectfully and strongly disagree that a board of this calibre does not need a night mod. To me, it's ridiculous. Sheesh. Anybody who has been around knows that this board needs a night mod. And I don't care if there are 300 other mods! At least there would be someone willing to help cover George's ass when most people on this board are asleep. I would accept the job, even with all the strange crap the participative mods must get. I gotta say what one of the other fella's said. If we put him as mod thats all cool but for the love of the frickin' board get rid of the dead head mods that don't do anything and never post or answer mail. They are no good to the board any way. Nothing against any of them but if they don't have the time to fullfill there position requirements then maybe they should not be there. Just a thought though...After all what the f*ck are they there for. As for Big Jay bro I like ya and you seem to have the knowledge need to get the job done but you do tend to get short with newbies and cause a lot of contriversy with fellow members. I agree with your other post about cleaning up the board strongly. It seems as though there are more BS post than post actually partaining to the subject of the board and that is not good. I definately think the board needs a pm mod cause there is way to much source listing and BS postings at night. As far as I am concerned Big Jay...You are god as anybody and you got my vote bro! Here is my idea-get rid of the mods that have not contributed for an extended period of time-they can allways come back, but maybe right now they have other committments- then give Huck, dexter, Ulter, maybe others, the rightly deserved mod positions. Now keep it rotating based on length of time away from us. Have some guys in the on deck circle redy to come in- that way they will stay fresh, and if anyone gets burned out- they get a deserved break from it all-tomo [This message has been edited by Tomo (edited December 06, 2000).] | ||

I was a mod here, once.................. Sorry, E2. Whoever gets chosen, (if anyone) I still say that quenopo should be able to do all the same things that the other mods do. I can remember him posting that there was a source post in a thread and then bumping it like three times to get someone's attention. OK, I can understand you guys getting really pissed about source posting. The shit is wrong and should be deleted immediately of course. I think Dexter would be a real good mod. He's a dedicated member to the board and has always been around and relpying to posts in a very respectable manner. The nods here have been doing a great job. But if you need a different time zone, I think Dex would be the choice. ------------------ | ||
