I need one of you scientific types to direct me to a site or book in the library where I can find how much AS a person should use. Let me clear this statement up. It just doesn't seem right to just try 400mgs of Deca a week because it "sounds" good. There has got to be a scientific formula or method of doing this. For instance, if someone weighs 200 pounds, is the effective does for him 2mgs per week per pound of body weight for deca? That's what I'm getting at. Just trying to make myself smarter so I don't have to ask that same ole dumb question:

"I'm 28 y/o, weigh 200lbs, this is my 3rd cycle..yadah, yadah, yadah."

Can anyon smart on this stuff help?

Thanks!!

There is no set dose per pound of bodyweight. Everybody is different, and responds different to AS. What works for you, might not do anything for me.

If you read medical literature, the doseages needed for treatment of diseases/conditions is usually lower than that of your average bodybuilder. For a guide to realistic dosages which would promote muscle growth you need look no further than the experience of the bros here, as little real scientific study into the enhancement of athletic performance has been conducted. Many unsubstanciated studies have been, but to do any real research is not particularly high on the agenda of most authorities when money could be better spent on resarching cancer or aids.
As for a book with real athletes/bodybuilers experience, there are many. Do a search on Duchaine, Phillips for books like the anabolic edge, the anabolic reference guide or I believe anabolics 2000 is supposed to be very good (havn't read it yet)

In terms of the anabolic response of steroids, there is little scientific research concerning what is the appropriate dose for a normal male to gain 'x' lbs of LBM. Drugs are studied for their effects on disease states and in our cases there is no disease state, so pharmaceutical studies don't invest money on researching this. The best study I read on this topic looked at the dose response curve of anabolic/androgenic steroids; essentially, how did an increase in drug amount (x) affect a change in LBM (y). The study showed that as 'x' increased so did 'y', but gradually until it hit around 2,000mg/cycle at which point the curve dramatically increased.

Another reason is because few people can take more than 400mg without side effects like deca dick and mood problems from progesterone.
