You let your girl and school keep you from the gym? Shame on you boy!!! As for the personal trainer thing, try a BA Honours in Sports Science just for starters.

Peace.

Try the YMCA. They have programs there. It should be good enough. University degrees will get you the big bucks.

My wife is a personal trainer and makes big money. She has about 3 certifications and has been doing it for a while.

The truth is that you can simply study, pay a fee and take a certification exam. ACE is one of the well know programs available. Do a broad search of personal trainer certification and you should find plenty on the net. Its rather simple but don't go for the easiest one out there. Study up and be someone who isn't made fun of in the job.

I am an Athletic Trainer for a Sports Medicine facility in the southeast. I did 5 years of school and a 3 part national certification exam to be able to rehab athletic injuries. I personal train for fun and friends only. Its always amusing the dumb shit so-called trainers do and say just because they think their "a trainer", so try to be better.

No disrespect, but ACE is crap and not well respected at all. Trust me.
