Hey Nick, I would say you should be on rather than off.Take a light course of Deca say two weeks before and get your Vitamin C levels up to at least 3 grams per day for healing purposes. Your surgeon may advise against using steroids as they are always concerned about excess bleeding during the operation caused by higher blood pressure etc. They feel it may cause some of the �plugs� to lose hold. In practice this does not seem to be the case. I have a close friend who is a hair transplant surgeon and his opinion is that the steroid definitely helps to heal both the implants and the donor area much quicker. The faster and more cleanly the implants heal, the better the finished result especially if you are going for 1000 or more plugs in one session. If you are in the US check out Stough Clinics.
