What's you guys opinions on Shawn Ray's and Lee Preist's placing at this years olympia?Ronnie Coleman looked great but I think that Shawn Ray could have definatly beaten Kevin Levrone and maybe gave Coleman a run for his money.Ray was leaner ,fuller,and harder than he was in some of his previous showings and these bigger guys are sacrificing symmetry and leanness for size.What are you guys opinions on this??     | ||

Shawn looked awesome, much better than flex. I also though that Dexter is very underated. If you look at the O comparison pics he possesses a certain "real muscle" hardness that alot of the bigger competitors lack. Priest got shafted, but then again he has looked better (was it the NOC two years ago or something that he really nailed it?). | ||

priest, dexter, shawn. my top three favorite bodybuilders at the moment. maybe it's cause I'm 5'7"??? huh?... LOL all three of these dudes have a healthier look (especially shawn) that other bodybuilders just don't have. they look better, yet just are physically smaller. the bigger guy will almost always win it. | ||

Guys like Priest and Ray have been getting the shaft for quite awhile now. (I could be bias though, I 'm the same height as Priest) Granted, Priest was off at the O this year. Ray looked good. It doesn't matter, IMO the judging is ALL fixed anyway. If they judged properly/fairly, it wouldn't matter how tall the competitor was. And it shouldn't! Fuck, if Priest was 6' and carried the same amount of mass on that frame as he carries now he would be competing at 300lbs at the least! ------------------ [This message has been edited by ThePitbull (edited December 04, 2000).] | ||

I sure don't think any of the above mentioned contenders could/should have beat Coleman. But Pittbull speaks volumes, judging may not be fixed- but it sure looks like it if you look at the placings for each show over the past few years. The reason is that they never rotate judges. It's the mo-fo's each and every damn show. Weider also plays with the comps a bit, not letting people comptete at certain shows to ensure another person's win etc. Why didn't Coleman compete al last year? People would have gotten very friggin' tired of watching him win or place each and every one of them. | ||

How tall is Coleman anyway? I thought he was like 5'10" or something like that. Isn't Shawn like 5'7"?? That isn't too much difference in height. | ||

TBM from the AE board is 5'4" and has a pic with Shawn where they look pretty close in height. My guess is that Ray is actually 5'5". Priest also seems about 5'3", even though he is listed at 5'5" (look on renegade photo of texx-flexx (5'3") and him). I know alot of people who have met Levrone, and they all are surprised that he actually is only about 5'8". Funny, because he looks alot taller in the pictures. | ||

ronnie coleman is about 6'1, he towers over sean ray and those guys, in that muscle mag with coleman on the front it has all the olympians who competed on stage together, and he TOWERS over the shor guys. | ||

I am a big Lee Preist fan. The guy looked awesome- lean and hard with the best arms in the business. I find his condition amazing considering he is known to get in the 280's off season and competed at 212!!! Ronnie is a monster and Flex magazine made it out like Kevin Leverone almost upset the applecart...bullshit I have my doubts as to whether he was the second best guy out there. Shawn should have placed ahead of Flex and he and Flex both know it. But thats just my opinion Mike ------------------ | ||

in the magazine photos ronnie is harder than the other competitors, you guys need to get out and see the photos, because it tells the real story, there is no way the other competitors can even hang with coleman, man he is the best and for the smalltimers who hate here is a big DICK for you all. | ||

Big Swol, the defining look of Coleman is that he can maintain symmetry at that size. All of his components balance the package. Yeah, maybe he isn't as "ripped" as some of the other competitors, but when posing beside these guys your eyes are drawn to Coleman. Very impressive. Wonder what his cycles look like. They gotta be huge. | ||

hey dont take my post to heart, but I just dont understand why people cant admit that coleman is the best, I mean when dorian or lee haney was winning I didnt hear people saying that so and so is gettin the shaft, you guys gotta give credit where credit is due, I think ronnie is phenomenal and lee haney or dorian couldnt stand next to him, thats not an opinion that is the cold hard facts, but hey everyone likes to down the best and those people are basically haters. | ||

PERSONALLY I THINK THAT ITS SORT OF RIGGED. . .IF YOU LOOK AT THE HISTORY OF THE EVENT PEOPLE SEEM TO WIN IN BUNCHES.
