Damn... I'm really late getting in on this one.

I have a few points to add concerning some of the Mexican gear:

1. If you get the Mexican gear on your own, i.e. go INTO Mexico and pick it up personally, you'll have better luck getting legitimate gear (if you know where to go). Most of the infections/abcess/pain come from bunk/counterfeit/unsterile gear.

2. Tornel and Ttokkyo are quite large companies working in the veterinary market of Mexico, Central and South America. Both companies have made it known that they want to enter the American market, therefore, they need the standards to sell in America. Tornel has ISO 14001 certification -- an INTERNATIONAL standard for PHARMACEUTICALS (note not just vet products) that is difficult to achieve. If you've never worked for a company trying to get ISO certification, you don't know the complicated procedures involved.

3. There is no difference between the quality of human versus vet products!! The only difference is mental -- you make what you think of it. Why? Most of the vet gear is made for animals that will eventually be used for human consumption. Indirectly, humans are taking the same pharmaceutical prooducts that was injected into the livestock. If the gear made the animal sick or gave it an infection, it cannot be used as livestock. Working in pharmaceutical labs, I can tell you that the products manufactured are done by one standard -- regardless of the market it is sold in.

4. Companies as large as Tornel do not manufacture all the drugs they sell. Most of the time they simply create the final product. They have to purchase the drug from a CHEMICAL company -- and this company sells to whomever -- regardless of the final market.

5. Most of us ain't rich like you, 2Thick. There's no way I could possibly afford to get the products you listed above, unless I was doing something illegal to make the money.

I know there is going to be no convincing you, 2Thick, but I think that the rest of the folk that read the boards should know all the facts and weigh their options. A broad statement like you made is somewhat irresponsible.

Final point: if you're still concerned about the cleanliness of the gear, get syringe filters! They're cheap and will make any gear sterile!

Gymrat,

I just gave the reasons why I wouldn't use them. I never said that is what people should do. Therefore I was just sharing my personal opinion and not preaching the AS gospel.

Obviously you don't know the influence you have over people on this board.

He certainly has influence over me. And as he (typically, in his polite way) gave his opinion, what's the big deal?

Frankly, I like these controversial subjects. The 2Thick/E2 debate several months ago is memorable.

Maybe things have changed, what with ISO standards and whatnot.

I'm just not ever going to inject vet stuff into my body, even if it's free.

I don't mean to but in, but 2Thick although being a very respected individual on this board - and this goes for you as well GymRatSd for what I've noticed. I strongly believe that people won't jump over board or in this case will cease to use Mex gear because 2 thick said so. Actually he expressed a personal preference and followed up on this with information he had. Although many moronic individual plague the board, they still have a brain...sometimes I question that.

MAN... Gear is Gear.....It doesnt matter where its from...It like a damn car. Some people drive BMW's and some people drive metro's......They both get you where you need to go. If you work hard on anything you cycle,it will get you what you want. And being picky about what you take doesnt sound like your really about Bein BIG.. Take what you can get.. If you get stuff that is of better quality, then so be it..But dont dog on mexican gear cause i bet 70% of the people on this board started with MEX GEAR.

GymRat, what pore size would you need the syringe filters to be?

0.2 micron syringe filters will sterilize any liquid.
