I thought it would be a good idea to post this because of all the recent discussions re: light vs. heavy first cycles. A buddy of mine wanted to do a first cycle so we discussed his goals. He is 22yrs old, 5'6, 170lbs and has been lifting for about 5 years. He wanted to gain 10lbs. of lbm. We discussed many different options before he decided on 200mgs/enanthate and 200mgs/deca for 10 weeks. He worked out 5-6 days/week, ate 1.5grms. of protien per lb. of body weight, and consumed about 3x the calories he was previously consuming(I am not sure of the exact calorie content). Anyway, I see him at the gym today and he looks much bigger(I had not seen him in a while). He proceeds to tell me that he has gained 20lbs in 8 weeks! He stopped his cycle after just 8 weeks because his goddamn clothes don't fit and he can't afford a whole new wardrobe! He also experienced great strength gains in all his lifts. He is very pleased with his gains. I'm sure he will lose a little water, but he should keep AT LEAST 10-15lbs. He more than exceeded his goal and did it without spending a fortune. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I am happy to hear about someone working hard and getting great gains from low dosages. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Makes me wonder if he could have done it without the juice. I think so. ?? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I thought some members could benefit from this info. I also did a light cycle as my first. I was happy with my gains . Now, I do moderate cycles and love them. Light cycles can work, especially for newbies. Also, I am an advocate of including test in most cycles. Although, at lower dosages for newbies. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not to take away anything from your friend, but if I consumed 3x my usual calories I could probably gain close to 20 lbs in 8 weeks with no gear. My point is that if it's not lean body mass it doesn't count. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm positive he got at least 10-15lbs of retainable LBM. Quite frankly, I was shocked at how he blew up on such conservative dosages. ![]() ![]() ![]()

3 times the calories? If he only eats 2000 calories a day, he went up to 6000 a day, which is a shitload to gain with or without juice, but good job. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
