So, the word is that Nolvadex cuts into gains 5-10% because it hampers Igf-1 production, but does anybody have any info about Clomid doing the same thing? I never read any reports that said it did.

I have never read literature which gives precise measure to the theory that estrogen competing drugs diminish gains. What diminishes active testosterone substrate is the aromatization process itself, not the drugs that prevent gynocomastia or other estradiol related sides.

If your concerned about depeletion of testosterone as a substrate, then your best choice would be an aromatase inhibitor, specifically Arimidex.

Never the less, enlighten me if im not current with the news literature.

If I remember correctly, the mechanism behind Novadex and breast cancer growth has more to do with inhibition of localized production of IGF-I than estrogen blockage, but the two are likely related in breast cancer cells. I've heard the same thing about Nolvadex and diminished muscle gains, but there's never been anything published that looks at IGF-I protein expression or concentration in skeletal muscle with Nolvadex treatment.

Clomid has a different mechanism of action.
