The last 2 days, my shoulder has hurt a little bit. It hurts on the front side of the shoulder, fairly close to the connective tissue from the chest. Its not extreme pain although its a little sore. Any ideas what this could be. its definetely not muscle soreness. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Could be slight tendon pull or muscle tear, go see your ortho and maybe get an MRI. I only say procede with caustion because I am the not so proud owner of a flat bench pressing right pec tear at the tendon junction. It is fucking painful, disfiguring and destroying my workouts. Although my legs are exploding. I might be the next Tom Platz do to this. . . ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

i would suggest call ur ortho today, (you'll probably get the appointment in a week, so lay off few days, then go to the gym, warm up stretch for a good while, lift some and see if it still hurts, if it does, go to ur consultaion with the orthopedics, get ur cortisone shot. do 3 day lay off, 2 week recovery exercises routine.. and take some antiinflamatories, heat it at night everynight, etc.. and pray that its nothing major.. my doctor gave me my second cortisone shot.. he said even with the MRI, its really hard to tell whats wrong (using the dye test) if my second cortisone doesnt work, i will go for the MRI..so good luck.. dont do anything heavy.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

My shoulder is 99% healed. You think it would be ok to lift tommorow, or should I take a few extra days off? ![]() ![]() ![]()

99% healed??? Shit bro, if I had even ONE bodypart that functioned at 99% of its capacity, I'd be the happiest man alive. To me, if I've got something that is only 85% of totally healthy capacity, I still consider myself full-go. If you are 99%, consider yourself blessed and go kick ass. Now, if it starts getting worse, that is another story. Because if it keeps getting worse and you don't rest it and/or get it fixed, pretty soon you'll be operating at 50%. As for the MRI/Ortho idea, I'd say hold off. That is not cheap stuff, and it doesn't sound like you're hurting bad enough to spend that kind of money. I'd check into finding an A.R.T. practioner first, either way. I've had great experiences with that treatment. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I was pretty scared at first as ive never hurt my shoulder before. ive talked to a lot of guys that have a torn rotator cuff, etc and it totally screws up their lifting. My shoulder healed in about 3 days, so im not too worried about anything. Im going to start out with legs tommorow, just in case. Wednesday, ill start up with the shoulder presses again. peace. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
